The big one is the one that died (sob) -- Nikon D70 digital SLR with its zoom lens. The tiny one is the one I bought after a situation where I decided I didn't want to lug the big one (big mistake) -- Nikon S3 pocket, with absolutely wretched low-light performance but otherwise fine. The one on the right is the intermediate "turncoat" camera, Canon "S3 IS," that did the heavy lifting on this trip. All are 6 megapixel cameras.
(So what did I use to take these pictures? An old Mavica FD-7 -- and getting pictures off its floppy disk turned out to be a bit of a task as few of the machines here even have a floppy drive!)
Ya know? I used to work in a camera shop, but I’ve forgotten every darn thing I ever learned. I still know how to point and shoot, but I’m hoping to get a digital so I can learn how to do things like the big boys do. *sigh*
