Supermodel Elle Macpherson is desperate for a man in her life, but is struggling to find anyone who will go out on a date with her.
The Australian beauty, who is nicknamed The Body, has been celibate for two years, and is still single despite attempting to chat up guys herself in a bid to get a date.
She moans, "I just don't get men hitting on me. It's crazy - but apart from a brief romantic intermission last summer, I have been single and celibate for two years. How boring is that?
"I'm a hopeless flirt. I'll go up to a guy and say, 'I think you are so beautiful,' but it doesn't work." (c)
ROTFLMAO! One of the best movies of all time.
"Where's your other hand?"
Well, I don't think that her demands were unreasonably high, although physical fitness was a definite priority. She more interested in being treated with respect. She did dump one guy because he worked for the Clinton administration and she just thought that she couldn't deal with that.
You know when I was in high school I spent many weekends alone. Now I don't think I'm that great, but I guess I'm kind of cute. One guy who always had the guts to talk to me and was around me for the longest time was my best friend's ex-boyfriend. One day we were talking and I told him of my problem. He said, "Well, the reason is because guys are intimidated by you. They're scared to talk to you." I always remembered that because it was the last conversation we ever had, but also because it was so funny to me.
It might just be this photo, but Rebecca Romijn doesn't look like she's aged well at all.
I'm willing to bet, with it being SI's swimsuit photographers, (not to mention makeup artists) that it ain't the photo doing the aging.....
No woman is easy. In the long run, anyway.

Ah yes, the alpahbet thing.
My particular advantage was to have figured this out in my 20's, which led me to be rather fearless in approaching women. In retrospect, I would have been more cautious, especially since I was living in New York back then, and some of them turned out to be, well, how do I say this nicely? err...psychotic.
I lucked out big time, though - I moved back to Boston and met the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen in my life - and married her. And that's the truth.
I'm a sucker for a gal with a sandy butt. Can I draw the short straw for this one?
Boston is one of the two cities that had far and away the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Course I always had a thing for Irish gals.
The other being Salt Lake.
So to have Elle, I have to have Rebecca too? Well, sometimes ya gotta make sacrifices.
I call bull$hit.
This reminds me of that scene in Tootsie when the actress tells the female Dustin Hoffman she wishes a man would just be honest and tell her he wants to make love to her.
The male DH walks up to her at a party and uses her exact words. She throws a drink in his face.
Now I know that was only a movie, but I can see some sclub walking up to her after reading this article. He asks her out. She laughs in his face.
Just about all of those have nasty internal dialogues running where they put themselves down constantly. The snobbery is a social mask.
So ask her, "Can you cook?" ;)
I'll bet Elle can't - in fact, I'll bet Elle is a nice but very boring person. Supermodels live in an alternate reality. All of her validation has been external - she never had to develop any part of herself other than her looks, and now that's coming back to bite her.
You might even bump into Miss Ireland...
I'll take those odds any day of the week.
My guess, assuming there's any truth to this, is that she just has extremely high standards --- and at 40+ is finding that the men who meet them have mostly gotten snapped up by other women.
Right, she's trying to act like she's the girl next door.
In reality, she's just waiting for the next Real Estate mogul or International jet-setter to come along.
That said, I'd hit it.
