According to a self-appointed prophet in the holy city of Abilene, Texas, the Great Tribulation begins today. Sorry folks but nuclear war will start today according to Buffalo Bill Hawkins and his devoted followers--all surnamed Hawkins--at the House of Yahweh.
Apparently God (excuse me Yahweh and Yeshua) agree with Osama Bin Laden and Iran's President. And though the USA may try as it might to be the shining light upon the hill, the best nation on earth due to its constitutional freedoms, it's too little too late! God is really angry with us, and HE means to prove it this day! That's if you believe Buffalo Bill (Y'Israel) Hawkins.

It's official -- no nukes from God, just a bunch of meshugeneh kooks in Abilene.

Oh, well if its all going to end, I won't need to continue sending out my resume for new jobs when my current position ends on 9/29.

I love the smell of zotted prophets of doom and gloom in the morning.
Time to surf! Look at those breakers.

Yeah, I think so. If I had $50 every time over the past 30 years someone predicted when the world was going to end, I could retire today and live very comfortably.

Well he wasn't totally off. My hot water heater blew up.
I must admit I had expected something a little more dramatic for the end of the world.

I'm going to go max out my credit card at Dairy Queen right now. Thanks for the heads-up.I prefer Baskin-Robbins, but not a bad idea. Spend half my money on my favorite flavors and the other half on booze... ;^)

Dang, first I missed Tropical Storm Ernesto, then I missed an earthquake in Florida, and now I missed oblivion? What am I going to do with the WON (Whip Oblivion Now) button I've had since Gerald Ford was president? Instead of cowering in a bomb shelter, I spent this evening with Howard Hart, the founder of another Delphi forum, who happened to be passing through town.
I guess I was right when I said that Kentucky is the state the rest of America forgot. Did even the Good Lord overlook us this time?

Derby, or not Derby, that is the question.
Okay, I think it's time to duck...
