If he did it, I would like to know the reason for that ransom note. What was the purpose of that? That really never made much sense to me. Did he kidnap her, write and leave the note, then kill and return her to the basement, or did he try to make it look like a kidnapping gone wrong?

If there is a witnessed confession overseas and a DNA match, that would be a game, set and match no mater what pictures his brother finds from a past Xmas and in the family wants to be the alibi.
The brother already screwed his possibility of that by on air saying he had no direct recollection, didn't know he was overseas and had no knowledge if he was still married.
They were not close and the prospect of a Thai prison for a decade or more surely facilitated the confession considering the prisons down there.

I think Patsy Ramsey took over his mind and robotically caused him to do it. Now that she has died...he has been freed from her evil mental control.
