An arrest in the JonBenet Ramsey case is due to happen "shortly," according to sources in our newsroom -- I know I can't post the link to our site (we're a Gannett station, and despite the "ban", I would welcome the traffic), but most of you know where I work and what the site is...
According to our sister station in Denver, an arrest took place early this morning in Thailand.
Stand by for details and updates as they come in.
They probably got the first crack at his dna through mail to the Ramseys or the professor where he licked and touched what he mailed.
He is extremely creepy indeed.
Sorry if this has been discussed. It is hard to keep up on all of the threads.........

Karr has long sex assault record, official says
By Kirk Mitchell
MEDIANEWS
John Mark Karr's arrest in Bangkok, Thailand, after vanishing several years ago was a mixed blessing for his 85-year-old father.
"I thought someone had killed him," Wexford Karr said Wednesday afternoon while sobbing during a telephone interview from his home in Atlanta. "This is such a surprise that he is alive."
But learning his son was alive also came with news that the 41-year-old was arrested in the Dec. 26, 1996, murder of JonBenét Ramsey, he said.
And from the same article:
"He is just an exemplary son," he (the father of the accused) said.
It just seems to me that the guy is trying to play both ends against the middle. I'd send him off to Texas in a minute, if it were up to me...
He didn't do it. He wasn't even there. He provides no details. Suddenly, after the first hysteria over this nit-wit's confession, now you see every pundit on TV saying, whoa, maybe we bit on this too fast.
I suspect you're still trying to clear Dan Rather!
We should be keeping a careful eye on James Earl Jones.
Well one who thinks we have the capability of nuking Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan and carefully ovoid bombing any oilfields so we'd still be able to get cheap oil from the ME is not one's opinions I would bother listening too

In conclusion, Thailand.
