Thank you for posting it!
Amazing how a film with not one single word spoken can be so moving.
Thank you for posting this magnificent piece. Thank you very much.
Well this got me all teared up this morning
I was in my office this AM when I watched it, and I'm not ashamed to say, I teared up, also.
I have no prior service (altho my father, step-father and father-in-law were all veterans, as were a couple of my uncles, my brother and a couple of brothers-in-law), but I have the greatest respect for the sacrifices of our veterans and active military.
Thank God for them, and may God bless them and their families.
Bump for the afternoon crowd.
I liked it, GO NAVY.
bttt and pass it along!
Yeah, that was awesome.
I've sent a link to my friends on both sides (left and right). It was posted three times with just the name of "Revielle" and I think without the mention of the troops it's not getting the views it deserves.
Thank you for the wonderful tribute video for our veterans. *sniff*
You're welcome. I can tell from the credits that there was a scene edited out, as it mentions "Air Force Guy. " I was able to identify the Purple Heart and Distinguished Service medals--did you recognise the others?
Kathy, you're welcome.
Dutchgirl, how did you find my post? This thread was long gone a week ago.
But thanx for bringing it back.
BTTT.
I was tooting around some other blogs and found it. It was too good NOT to post, but I found that three other folks had already posted it here, without any mention of Vets. So I asked the mod to change the title, in hopes that a few more folks would enjoy it.
Forgive the ping of a long-dead thread. But I just got an email from the producers of the film, and I thought y'all might want to know (I'm paraphrasing their email to me):
Donovan Montierth and his two brother, Adam, wrote, produced and directed the "Reveille" short film starring David Huddleston and James McEachin. He and Adam are also Eagle Scouts.
It shows in "Reveille" that although they never served in the US Armed forces they have a great respect for those who did and for the Flag and our country.
This being 9-11 and all, I just thought it was worth sharing a little bit of patriotism.
Carry on . . .
I forgot to add: both Adam and Donovan are Eagle Scouts!
This thing is pretty classy. What DID happen to the AF guy?
I'll ask them.
Donovan just wrote back; he says they cut that guy's scene, but since he did his part, they thought he should get credit for it.
