I think the winners of yesterday's games where Germany and Italy, eh? Today's winners should be England and Brazil. I mean so far this World Cup has been completely devoid of surprises!

Here's hoping (and praying) for a Germany/France final. That would be the most enticing game for a neutral.

Here's praying that it is NOT Italy/Portugal. I don't have confidence that either team would come out to play open, attacking soccer.

Anybody remember the Germany/France semi-final from '82? Great game, great players, great controversy, great comeback, great goals, penalty kicks at the end. Did I mention that it was great? The '86 semi-final actually wasn't bad either.
