We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Happy Weekend at ATRW. As the Chair & his lovely bride wind down their second(or third or fourth?) honeymoon at the beach, those of us that remain at our humble homes will chat & share our news & our thoughts on love & life.
Movies enjoyed the past couple weeks & recommend to you if the spirit moves: The Sentinel, Inside Man; Thank You For Smoking; Take the Lead; Friends With Money.
In the news:
TomKat (Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes) had their love child, a daughter, this week. Have NOT heard if he actually did eat the placenta, like he said he would ( I do hope he was kidding)
Tony Snow fans await his decision on Monday if he will be the new White House Press secretary
Post your short news items, issues of interest, links, and so on. All who advance the Cause are welcome.
LET'S ROLL!!!

Wonder if Mary McCarthy will pull the same stunt as Mary Mapes and try to divert responsibility for her getting snared in her own actions. IOW, another victim of the hate-filled conservatives...blah, blah, blah.

thanks sweetie....we had some good rehearsals this week...til last night :-(...But I slept well...it's a quiet day of stuff around here.
Considering what a lot of the choristers have to do and deal with....I'm very fortunate. Very, very fortunate.

10 to 2. The youngest is scheduled to ride at 12:55. there are 5, I think, in her class. She is just doing the Walk/trot exhibition. Nothing really difficult.
It has been raining since the wee smalls and there are supposed to be some more rain showers between now and noon. I'm wondering if the show will be postponed.

PS. All the links were great; it's just that I can use the WSJ one in a polite wrangle with leftist friend today.
I'm off for a busy weekend, and will check in as I can.

I liked the enforcing the dress code cartoon the best.
The Sentinel was a good movie. Really spooky.

Good morning, everyone. Thunder and rain here last night. I hadn't even noticed that the poplar tree was already blooming until I saw the yellow and orange flower with its leaves blown down on the deck.
Glad to see you are back, Rav...although what's this about keeping us in line? Did you really mean a "lineup"? ;)

Carolinamom, I just got a weather alert from your area (my son's) for severe weather
We had a great deal of rain also here. It would have been nice had I had the potatoes in (but I didn't)- Had a little snag in that the boundary fencing (large 6' X 8" stockade fence) wouldn't stay up!. I lack a lot of these kinds of skills. Right now it has fallen onto the place where the garden is to be..I do such fine work.
Only slept 3 hours. Need more as I have a busy day. Might try to catch an hour or two later after my lunch meeting.
Another interesting email from Bev re: Miss Lily. Sure she will post info later.

Michael Douglas & Keifer Sullivan both did a good job & it had a lot of twists & turns for sure. I had not seen Kim Bassinger in a movie for MANY years. She played an "interesting" first lady, didn't she?
