Duke Rape Suspect May Have Alibi

One of the two Duke University lacrosse players arrested on charges of raping and kidnapping a 27-year-old woman at an off-campus party had been arrested in the fall for assaulting a man in Washington, D.C., and the other was not present when the alleged crime occurred, sources told ABC News.

Multiple sources told ABC News that Reade Seligmann, 20, was not present in the house at the time the alleged victim says the crime occurred. Sources say this is established through different witness accounts, as well as cell phone and credit-card records.

Which makes that a MIDDLE CLASS street for much of Long Island.

Lots of folks, and I suspect the suspect's dad is one of them, bought their homes years ago, and have seen them triple in value in the last decade.

No doubt the reporter was playing the "rich kid" card.

I suppose if it had been a bungalo in a neighborhood of shabby LI teardowns valued in the mere mid-six-figures, the reporter would have said he saw no "persons of color" in the area.

Brit Hume was just saying something to the effect that the three "chosen" for indictment just happen to have the richest parents - apparently that sor of stuff is listed on the Internet. They also aren't the ones she named at first. Guess those guys' parents were already bankrupt from paying Duke's tuition? Middle-class white kids don't get any sort of a free ride.
