Find a partner or grab your favorite beverage & listen to some Irish tunes .A couple of wave files - full-length, lilting, Irish melodies - they are so beautiful! I hope you can open them, or "save target as" to your hard drive and listen to them later.

Why Saint Patrick's Day?
Saint Patrick's Day has come to be associated with everything Irish: anything green and gold, shamrocks and luck. Most importantly, to those who celebrate its intended meaning, St. Patrick's Day is a traditional day for spiritual renewal and offering prayers for missionaries worldwide.
So, why is it celebrated on March 17th? One theory is that that is the day that St. Patrick died. Since the holiday began in Ireland, it is believed that as the Irish spread out around the world, they took with them their history and celebrations. The biggest observance of all is, of course, in Ireland. With the exception of restaurants and pubs, almost all businesses close on March 17th. Being a religious holiday as well, many Irish attend mass, where March 17th is the traditional day for offering prayers for missionaries worldwide before the serious celebrating begins.
In American cities with a large Irish population, St. Patrick's Day is a very big deal. Big cities and small towns alike celebrate with parades, "wearing of the green," music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games. Some communities even go so far as to dye rivers or streams green!

After reading your other posts, and knowing your 'gun laws', I'd give you an A+!
Bonus marks too for being able to go to the bathroom alone. :-)

When I did most of my Bible reading, I was using the NASB. Most folks around me liked the NIV, and I think I had a copy of that version somewhere as well. I've heard great things about the NKJV, but it came along after my time. I always thought that the modern translations were more accurate than the KJV because they had more texts from which the translators could work.
I have a buddy who is a missionary. He's helping translate the Bible into the native language of a people who never had a written language. The first step was making a written language for them. His stories about his work are interesting. He sometimes includes parts of the translation, and they are nothing like what I think of certain passages as being. However, they accurately reflect the translation of the text into the language that these people can understand.

With a degree you can get into the Air Force as an officer. I was in as an enlisted person. Officers get beat on more by their superiors but enlisted people do all the real work.
Internships are good to get and often lead to a permanent job.
VA near D.C. is a madhouse, as is the whole area. One place I would not want to live is there. But if you get into politics, you might not have a choice. You might even like it.

Can you answer these?
Why do space aliens only abduct hillbillies?
Why do hotdog bun packages come in groups of 8 and hotdog packages come in groups of 10?
Why don't feminists have a sense of humor?
Why do mothers wait to get to Wal-Mart to beat their children?

You can't tell what my major is? :) Political science, of course! I have a very good friend who is a political science professor. His conclusion is that political science is not a good bachelor's degree. Generally, this degree has little market value. His recommendation to most of his students is to double-major in something else and use a master's or Ph.D. program to specialize in political science.
I don't know you, so I can't tell you that you should change majors. I'm just passing along a warning from someone in the field who sees many students earning that degree and having trouble finding a job.
