I'm a Little Teapot

I'm a little teapot short and stout,

Here is my handle, here is my spout,

When I get all steamed up hear me shout,

Tip me over and pour me out.

A couple of years ago I got brave and tried my hand at building and remodeling. After I discovered that I was fairly good at this, my wife and I went and are still going "crazy" fixing and building onto our house. My mind seldom wanders away from what my next project will be right now...

Music, reading. I am involved in community work, putting together newsletters & editing religious materials.

Don't have too much free time, actually, when people call me all the time for freelance. The extra money goes toward religious charities.

Maybe after my petition for a 24-hour day is granted, I can devote more time to writing fiction, something I used to do enthusiastically.

I'm thin king of starting BGallactica--the new one, first season. I've heard Alias is also good.

Lately I have been enjoying, of all the unexpected things, TV on DVD. There are many shows I never bothered watching, for years. Now that they are on DVD and can be played on my laptop, I find them fun to watch as I'm winding down for the night. Netflix is great, wish I'd bought stock.

I found Joss Whedon's "Firefly" dropdead wonderful, so I went and found the JW vampire shows, and--you know--they're pretty good story-telling. I guess fantasy is to my taste, from the LOTR on. I'm finishing up "Lost" and it's also amazing--who would have thought that movies would droop and die and TV would get so good?

I also garden, clear brush for exercise, paint and play an instrument.

"I have heard we have quite a few talented musicians on Freerepublic."
Does that include bagpipers?

But of course!! Playing the Great Highland Bagpipe requires not only skill but fortitude, as exemplified by the jokes:

Why are pipers constantly marching to and fro?
Harder to hit a moving target...

What do you do to relax, chill-out un-wind and de-stress

Read books and watch movies (I subscribe to Netflix and blockbuster)...and eat junk food.

Yeah, I'm fat.

I annoy liberals. And now that I think about it, most other people, too.

I started with the SCA (yeah, I know, not over authentic). But through my associations there, I started learning DiGrasse, Capo Ferro, Marozzo, and Gigante through other outlets, as well as from the writings. I have friends with the Tattershall School. I get a lot of good stuff from them.
