Wow, the Sun is really hurting for stories if they drag this one back up a year after the episode aired.

It originally aired in the US on November 16, 2005. It hasn't aired in the UK yet, and I guess it won't.

I love the Terrence & Philip clock behind Tom Cruise, though I fear what the alarm might sound like.

Notice it doesn't name the "nervous TV bosses" ot even the corporation? I wonder if it's even true or is just hype. I mean... the "What we'll miss ... how Tom might look on show" is preposterous, since the show is done, and they know how he'll look. Yet they've got him dressed as Kyle.

Yeah. I noticed that. Ridiculous. There's only a million places the Sun could go to get images from that episode.

In the episode, one of the Scientologists yelled, "I'll sue you in England!" at the end. I didn't get the reference (if there was one). Perhaps that has something to do with the decision.

He was not outed as gay in that episode, where do they ever get that from.. Tom simply was told he wasn't a good actor so he 'hid in a closet' because he was sad. I'm confused..

This reminds me of the "Puerto Rico Day Parade" episode of Seinfeld and how NBC wouldn't rerun it because of a scene where Kramer accidentally set a Puerto Rican flag on fire.

But anyway, that was a funny episode of South Park. I like how the credits read 'John Smith'...'Jane Smith' over and over.

JC monkey balls! The episode never says Tom Cruise, John Travolta, or R. Kelly are gay because they won't come out of the closet!

Tom refuses top come out of the closet because he's not the best actor. John and R can't get Tom out so they go in with him. Stan just wants them all out because he's having troubles.

It's so clear. Tom, John and R. Kelly are metaphors for Stan's personal thetans.

The episode is entirely fictional and there is no suggestion that the events are true.

Assuming it wasn't just a throw away line then it's probably a veiled reference to the differences with British copyright laws. In England you can copyright facts, in America you can only copyright the presentation of facts, thus the give away of all the "secret" beliefs on Scientology is probably much more suable in England than it is in America (depending on what Scientology has published in England of course).
