I just don't wanna leave stuff behind. And I can't remember just how much I mailed when I came out here. A lot, I think. Six or seven boxes, anyway. Spent over a hundred bucks on shipping.
OK, enough whining from me, huh? ;-)
Lunch. Spaghetti with homemade (onion fleck-free) sauce and grilled chicken breast and ricotta cheese.
Mmmm!
The jedis are vey quietly eating! LOL Must be good.
Mmm...'cept I like onions. ;-) Do you just use the powder?
I'm gonna have leftover chili. Can't complain.
And I'm packing all the clothes I won't need over the next week into my suitcase. Heh...over the many trips I did in the military, I've gotten really good at fitting a TON of clothes in a small space. The downside is that the suitcase is gonna *weigh* a ton as well. Good thing it has wheels...
That's right...onion powder. Matthew doesn't mind the flecks of green italian herbs, but can't stand onion flecks...they have a bit of a different texture than the leafy italian herbs.
Thing is, we all like this sauce! It's quick and easy and I can store left overs in the fridge for use on sandwiches and Steve pours it on burger.
At least it still *tastes* like onion!
Mmmm...herbs. That's another thing I want to plant! Lots of herbs. Can't beat fresh!
I need a job and fast so I can get stuff to do raiseds bed and all. How's that for motivation?
What other herbs do you usually use in spaghetti sauce?
Simple is good!
That's about what I do...was just curious! Sometimes I also add a touch of cayenne and some rosemary.
Tomato sauce is *I think* the only veggie item Matthew will eat. It's a good choice, in my opinion...cheap, available...of all the things he could agree to eat, it's the best! LOL
He does eat banana bread, pumpkin bread and pie and even zucchini bread! For obvious reasons.
Clare just will NOT eat veggies, so I buy her phyto-nutrient supplements from Trader Joe's or Living Earth, the health food store. At least she's getting the nutrients she missing, if not the fiber from the veggies. She's the only really picky eater in the family. The boys will all eat most every veggie known to man, but I quit fighting with the kids about food a LONG time ago, because it was a battle I just never won, and it made everyone miserable.
Yep...that's Matthew. I give him vitamins and he'll drink OJ (no other juice) and eat tomato sauce. I've fought with him too, only to have him barf up everything else he's already eaten. Not worth it.
I don't know if you can see, but he's managed to squash himself into a small space that was still left. Silly brat...
That's funny :~D
Ruthy's on the ground here :~D Ramius is waiting for her to call from baggage claim. Updates when I've got them!
Heh.
Miss Cat did that once too. Wonder what she would have thought if I'd closed the lid on her.
Close lid, zip zipper. Problems solved.
You two will *not* be transporting my cats anytime soon...
Hope to see pictures soon!
I guess she will like my 'duct tape to the litter box' plan even less...
