True story. David Niven was asked to be a pallbearer at a friend's funeral. Like Niven, his friend was a practical joker.

The pall bearers showed up and discovered one was over 6' tall, another a midget, one had a bad leg and so forth

Frosting on the cake was that the deceased left instructions that his casket be carried to the grave site - UP a steep hill.

Niven said (in his auto bio) that by the time they got up to the grave site, every one was convulsed with laughter.
