Anything happen while I was gone?
Well, it looks like the Andyites have finally discovered one of their principal allies has been absent.....for more than a month.
Well, DUH! If they would just shut their pie-holes for a minute in time they might just discover that they don't need to be donating any more money to Scamdy, the Round Red One! Bunch of DUmmies!
To me, that is the difference between authentic honest sincere members of democraticunderground and the Andyites.
Some people look at the whole wide world around them, and adapt accordingly.
Other people decide what they want the world to be, and then decide that is the way it is.
The second category of people have the unhappy experience of getting blindsided by unexpected experiences and rude awakenings.....such as how the Andyites were discombobulated three weeks--three weeks!--three weeks!--three weeks!--before they were ever aware the DUmmie FUnnies existed.
That was the "status" of the Andyites on Memorial Day, a little over a month ago--they were three weeks behind the rest of the world. But rather than making any progress in getting this fraud back on track, it now appears they are four, perhaps five, weeks behind the rest of us.
That is a very good description of the Andyites. Their little world in their parents' basement doesn't allow for thinking outside the box. They are so removed from the reality of the outside world that adapting to new situations is just like shaking the ant farm. They just scurry around with no purpose and no goal except to protect the queen--which in this case is Andy--literally! LOL!
"Anything happen while I was gone?"
Your life was threatened by benburch.
Such is life, madam.
Unlike the Andyites, I EXPECT consequences to whatever I do, some of them unanticipated.
Andyites on the other hand expect ONLY those consequences they wish to happen.....but the world isn't that way, doesn't work that way.
It's cool, it's copacetic, life is good, it's going to be a great 4th of July, &c., &c., &c.
Highly likely dummies don't know where bacon comes from as most of them probably don't eat meat.

Please add me to the ping list
Sounds like you made some DUmmies mad ;-) Just let me know and I will fly down and we will have a DUmmie DUncan contest ;)
You're on the DUmmie Alert! ping list, sir, which is quite large.
When examining the "demographics" of the ping list, it appears that about half are members of Free Republic, and the other half members of democraticunderground over here to find out what is going on (this is after all NOT an ideological issue).
Savage243 thanks you sir.
Excuse my ignorance, but what is the Ping list?
It's a long list of members who have an interest in a topic.
If you look at post #2, there's a long list of people.
A lot of times, like in the DUmmies FUnnies, the keeper of the ping list writes "ping." The the the ping at the top of the main pages turns red and says "New posts to you"
Sometimes when we know other members have an interest in a posted topic that we've just discovered but don't see the other poster on it we "ping" them to direct them to the article.
Thank you Duke
I had seen many people ask to be on a ping list, but was not sure what it was. I would like to be added, if that is OK.
The "ping list" automatically notifies a reader on it that something new has been posted.
In this case, every time there is a new DUmmie Alert!, either as the one at the beginning of the day, or further on in the thread, members of the DUmmie Alert! ping list know about it immediately, because the word "ping" in the upper right-hand part of the screen turns red.
It is convenient, because it saves one having to search.
Also, if one clicks on "pings to you," it pulls up all the publicly-posted messages directed to you.
Most people use the "pings to you" as sort of a "bookmark," to notice what they've already seen, and what's new.
Membership on ping lists is free, no obligation; all one has to do is ask the owner of the ping list.
