Daisy Poem
Daisies are the happiest flowers that Ive ever seen
Dancing in the sunshine with their leaves of green
Their faces always smiling bright, cheerful all the while
Anyone who sees their dance will surely have to smile
It takes a bit of magic to see the Daisy Dance
As the circle in the sunlight who will gaily leap and prance
A girl is not a flower, we all know its true
But pretty girls who dance and sing, in aprons of true blue
Will make the magic of the flowers seem real enough, no doubt
Especially when these girls exclaim Im A Daisy Scout

Eyewitness
That which we have seen and heard we declare to you. -1 John 1:3
|
"You don't want to interview me for your television program," the man told me. "You need someone who is young and photogenic, and I'm neither." I replied that we indeed wanted him because he had known C. S. Lewis, the noted author and the subject of our documentary. "Sir," I said, "when it comes to telling the story of a person's life, there is no substitute for an eyewitness." As Christians, we often refer to sharing our faith in Christ as "witnessing" or "giving our testimony." It's an accurate concept taken directly from the Bible. John, a companion and disciple of Jesus, wrote: "We have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us-that which we have seen and heard we declare to you" (1 John 1:2-3). If you know Jesus as your Savior and have experienced His love, grace, and forgiveness, you can tell someone else about Him. Youth, beauty, and theological training are not required. Reality and enthusiasm are more valuable than a training course in how to share your faith. When it comes to telling someone the wonderful story of how Jesus Christ can transform a person's life, there is no substitute for a firsthand witness like you. -David McCasland
Let us go forth, as called of God, Redeemed by Jesus' precious blood, His love to show, His life to live, His message speak, His mercy give. -Whittle
Jesus doesn't need lawyers, He needs witnesses.

Good morning Amy! There will always be a soft spot in my heart for you as you were the first one to welcome me to FR years ago. I had been luking since May of 2001 over the Klamath water crisis. After much thought and action I finally signed on August 4th 2001.
Glad to see your still doing good great works!

Hi everyone.. I love UNSWEETEENED Ice tea.. I make quarts of sun tea (often with the flavored teas) . When I use plain black or green tea, I ususlly put fresh mint in bottles at same time & the tea & mint flavors both come us with the sun's heat.
speaking of heat... very HOT again here today. Yesterday 3 hours at water was nice. Will find some water again for O's walk & tomorrow afternoon back to Lake Erie, but not so far away in Mentor.. I have a pretty nice cove near cleveland that I like & it is NOT populated as it is not a cleaned off beach area. Lots of driftwood, debris, dead fish etc. I like beachcombing & Oliver likes rolling in the dead fish, so we both have fun!!!!
no rain here last night alhtough it rained in much of area. Need to go water... catch you all later.. I am having watermelon for breakfast. I normally have nothing except fresh fruit until after noon...
Later, FRiends

Welcome to Amy's, Issaquaking.
I remember meeting you on the Klamath water crisis threads.
Prior to that I mostly lurked or just bumped threads.
I enjoyed meeting the FReepers on those threads.
I hope you stop by often.
We don't get into politics very often, but we do support our military.
