Graphic by Billie
In No Sense
In no sense are they aware,
Somehow they constitute a pair,
Of him and her, of girl and boy,
For them there is but profound joy.
Discoveries of life abound,
With magic moments to be found,
In rainbows, and a flowers scent,
And giddy swoons of merriment.
The time will come that they will know,
But now is not that time, and so,
They will be friends and share today,
The life and loving on the way.

This bridge spans the Wallomsac River and was built about 1840.
Its dimensions are 88 feet long, 14.25 feet wide,
10 feet high at truss, 11.9 feet high at center.
Take time to enjoy a bridge today.
Happy Bridge Day!

LOL ..... sorry.
Covered Bridges Of Bennington County, Vermont
Crossing a covered bridge is like entering a portal of time,
transporting you back to the days of horse & buggy.
Vermont's covered bridges span time and progress,
linking more than just the opposite banks of a river or stream.

Montgomery, Vermont.
Untitled
"What stories could these bridges tell
If they could only talk?
They'd tell us of the ones who rode
And those who had to walk,
The rich, the poor....those in-between
Who used their planks to cross,
The soldiers, farmers, businessmen
In buggies, sleighs, by "hoss",
Like sentinels these bridges stand
In spite of flood and fire,
Their rugged, stalwart strength remains
Our future to inspire."

Near the junction of Highways 60 and 143 on the Covered Bridge Road in Wisconsin
"The Old Covered Bridge"
The old covered bridge, on the old country road,
Brings back memories of long, long ago.
Of the days in the past, when we fondly recall,
How the horses pulled sleighs through the snow.
When over the river and through the woods,
To Grandmother's house we went.
Through this old covered bridge, on the old country road,
In this long, past, dear World of content.

Okay, okay...but it could have been Connecticut, as they have these old bridges too. Ah, Bennington, Vermont! I have driven through there many times in my youth, especially in the fall. The foiliage is incredible !!
Also home to Bennington College. The most expensive women's college(aw heck)...the most expensive college in the country PERIOD! Tis where rich liberals send their rich liberal daughters .
Vermont was a very conservative state when I was growing up. Now very liberal. This is where wealthy Bostonians built their second homes, and/or retired(1975-2005). I call them east coast carpetbaggers : ) But ya know what? They can't take the beauty away from Vermont, or Maine, and who knows, maybe some day liberals will go so far as to outlaw themselves!!
