Just finished my last surgery Thursday, 4 more weeks and it's all over.

Wonderful! My prayers will continue for you, too, Graycliff. :o)

Tracy:

My prayers will continue for your recovery.

BTW my husband had surgery for colon cancer last Dec. He's got 4 more chemo treatments to go. Fatigue has been the most difficult side effect but overall he's doing well.

We have found the 'Wellness Community' a great place to get info, support and to connect with other cancer survivors.

Hang in there......all will be well!

God Bless You.............FRegards, Julie

Father Lord we pray for our FRiend that you will guide the surgeon's hands, that all the cancer is removed and that a full healing will happen. In the name of Jesus, amen.

I'm reading your post quite awhile after it was submitted. I fear that I will soon be undergoing an identical procedure. I hope you are now doing well.

Healing prayers being sent for you.

Thank you

Just so happens I've got an appointment today, their going to give me a small dose of radiation, via pill form, then Thursday i go in for a body scan, to check for any remaining cancer or thyroid tissue. Once thats over, i go back for a full strength dose to kill all remaining tissue. From that point on, it will be thyroid meds and checkups every 6 months to a year. Mine started out as a tumor on my left lobe, after removal it was discovered to be Papillary Cancer, so i had to go back in and have the other side removed. The surgery's not to bad, other than you won't be looking up for a couple of days, it pulls to hard on the stitches. An interesting thing the doc told me, he said if you've got to have cancer, you better pray it's in the thyroid. Thyroid cancers the easiest to treat, and has the best success ratio of all the others. I've got several friends who've went through the same ordeal, some over 28 years ago and their doing just fine. And so will you. Keep in touch and let us/me know how your doing. I've had 7 surgery's, mostly for external injury's or orthopedic reasons. The thyroid surgery's were the easiest. Take care and God Bless
