Prayers needed for freeper with Cancer of the Thyroid

There is a well known freeper who wishes to remain anonymous who is going in for surgery tomorrow for Cancer of the Thyroid. She would appreciate being remembered in your prayers. You can direct your responses to her good friend Exit148... God Bless you all

Thank you all for your prayers that saw me through my surgery and the little bit of a roller-coaster post-op time. Both lobes of thyroid turned out positive for CA and several lymph nodes, too; so the radioactive iodine dose will be higher to deal with that. I'll be doing that treatment next month.
Overall, I'm doing OK. I am resting a lot, and still having an issue with calcium level apparently; waiting to hear from doc for how to deal with it. Popping Tums in the meantime.
My voice is a little different now, lower tone and not much volume, but overall progress is good, and I am optimistic.

You might want to ask the doc about combining magnesium with the calcium. Often our bodies act like it is calcium that is needed when in fact it is magnesium that is in short supply. Normally our diets contain suffieient calcium, but often lack magnesium.

Great news.
Glad your feeling better.
They took out the right side ( or the remaining side ) last Thursday. Now I've got to go 4 weeks with no thyroid meds so they can do the radioactive iodine treatment, then i should be good to go for a while.
I pray yours went as well as mine.
I'd say keep your head up, but my necks still a little sore too.
Let us know how your doing from time to time.
