Happy Tennis Day, all.

Tennis Trouble

Tennis never was my sport,
But I love to watch them playing;
Swinging hard an arm and racquet, But I prefer a walkabout,
So out on the road I go
To stroll along three miles or more.
To all I say "Hello!"

I passed behind this tennis court
And picked up two stray balls
I shoved them down inside my pants,
'Cause I had no pocket at all.

I walked another mile or so
And saw behind a gate
A girl in walking shorts so short
I thought, "I've got a date!"

Out she came and said so sweetly,
"Would you mind it if I join you?
But tell me, what's those bumps in front?
Don't that go against you?

I said "That's tennis balls you see"
In a voice so bold and tough.
"That must be very sore" she said,
"Tennis elbow is bad enough!"
