Do they make the little towers in your yard?

The creek is behind the houses across the street, so we don't have towers in our yard.
So what do you do with the string?

OMG!! Glad you cleared that up. Bed hanging from the ceiling is NOT a problem for a 14 y.o.! :)

Is he saying there is a way to catch crawdads in California? Does he know we barely have fish let alone crawdads?

Oh sure. No crawdads in them, though. No way. I've lived here forever and never seen a one. And I have definitely looked..... Use to be some at Echo Park years ago. My brothers and I brought a whole bucket home. Then, Conejo Creek had some for a number of years. Seen a few in the Ventura River. I haven't seen a crawdad in LA or Ventura Counties for 40 years.

We don't get them. The clay under our topsoil and sod is too hard for them to tunnel.

Okay, so what's the deal with the string and the towers?
Hi Heels would like to know how she can get crawdad more than once a year at the cajun festival (in CA where she lives)...

I'm just up the road from you. I caught a bunch of crabs with a crab trap a couple of months ago and made parihuela.... But, no crawdads.
