A Smile At A Dance
When you are dancing, its almost a rule,
A smile on your face should be taught in the school.
Youll find that pretending youre having great fun,
Comes true in the moments before you are done.
You may not have known the one now in your arms,
But somehow you now know of some of the charms!
A synthetic friendship that takes on a life,
And a smile at a dance could make someone a wife!
They told us of dangers of music and dance,
But I felt in control and I took on the chance.
Seems my luck got quite dizzy and it went on the skids,
You can tell what came next by my wife and my kids!

Manners are a sensitive awareness of the feelings of others.
If you have that awareness, you have good manners,
no matter what fork you use.

You can learn many things from children.
How much patience you have, for instance.

A Great Day
I'm not a ten, or even a nine
But some days I awake feeling so sublime
The sun comes up, the birds start to sing
My thoughts and my heart both take to the wing
This glorious feeling, I can barely contain it
If it were a garment, what a wonderful raiment
All the day long I dance and I prance
And everyone gives me an admiring glance
What can it be, what change has been wrought?
It's nothing new that I'm wearing, nothing I've bought
If I live to be a hundred, I'll never understand it
How a feeling that starts so deep within, can command it
The attention I get, the smiles and advances
Will tomorrow be like today? What are my chances?

The Obedience Factor
Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness. -Matthew 3:15
Dewey VanderVelde refused to be baptized. He steadfastly resisted, even when his wife and daughters were baptized one Sunday afternoon.
Years later, his pastor preached on the baptism of Jesus. He pointed out that John the Baptist initially refused to baptize Jesus, but Jesus said, "It is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness" (Matthew 3:15). The pastor then added this comment: "If Jesus obeyed the will of the Father, so should we."
After the message, Dewey asked to be baptized. He said that he should have obeyed the Lord's command much sooner, and he regretted having been so stubborn.
The issue, of course, was more than just baptism; it was obedience. The same may be true for us. We may be stubbornly disobeying the Lord in a certain area of our life-lying, cheating, stealing at work, not giving to the Lord.
Here's what we must face: Jesus obeyed the Father in everything. His submission took Him from the height of popularity to abandonment. It took Him from public adoration to solitary suffering. It took Him to Pilate's judgment hall, the terrible road to Calvary, the cross, and the tomb.
Let it be today that we willingly decide to obey the Lord in everything. -Dave Egner
O give us strength to quench the urge
To do things our own way;
And help us, Lord, to heed Your Word,
Its precepts to obey. -Sper
True faith will obey without delay.

Had to get out of the past and come on over to today. Someone in the past keeps laughing at me.

No, I've been working both jobs. I don't have access to an outside phone line except on my 2 breaks. Yesterday I napped during my 2nd break, I was really tired. Last night when I got home from both jobs my temp was 99.5. My experience has been that I don't start to improve till I've worked myself till I can't get out of bed, then I stay home for one day, then I'm better. I probably should have come on in to work Tuesday and ground myself into the ground quicker. I only have enough time to eat at lunch, so I'll have to make calls on my 2nd break this afternoon.
Please don't think I don't appreciate all your advice, I do.

I'm cool. I know how hard it is. Could your brother call for you. Men get treated better than women do by mechanics. It's wrong but it's true.
