Footprints
Footprints in the Winter's snow
Crystal streamlets - winds that blow,
Frost and cold - a lonely time
Waiting for the sun to shine,
Drifts are mounting - ever high
Reaching to the blue of sky.
Footprints - little creatures dear
Leave a mark of beauty here,
As they travel - onward plod
Guided by the hand of God,
Fearless of the snow and cold
Dreaming of the sunshine gold.
Fleeting moments - quiet bliss
Wintertime is all of this,
January - tinseled time
February's valentine,
Loveliness along life's way
Footprints on a Winter day.

I'm In Debt
Read: Romans 1:8-17
I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise. Romans 1:14
Bible In One Year: Genesis 20-22
A shopper underestimated the total cost of her groceries. When the cashier added up the items, the woman was $4 short. Then something unusual happened. The man behind her in the checkout lane saw her digging through her purse and motioned to the clerk to put the amount on his bill. He modestly refused to give the woman his name.
A few days later, the local newspaper reported that a charity organization had received a $4 check with the following note: "This check is for the man who helped me out of a tight spot. I came up with the idea of giving it to you as a thank-you to him."
This incident illustrates a vital spiritual principle. We should feel an obligation to pass along to others the kindnesses shown to us. That's how the apostle Paul responded to God's mercy. Of course, he could never repay the Lord for salvation, but that didn't stop him from openly showing his gratitude. Because of what he had received, he showed the highest kind of charitysharing the gospel with others.
Let's not think that because we can't repay God for saving us, we owe Him nothing. We are indebted to Him for everything. The least we can do is show our appreciation by telling others about Him. Mart De Haan
How much I owe for love divine!
How much I owe that Christ is mine!
But what He did for me I know,
I cannot tell how much I owe. Hamilton
Jesus gave His all for us. Do we give our all for Him?

The doorbell rang and the lady of the house discovered a workman, complete with tool chest, on the front porch. "Madam," he announced, "I'm the piano tuner."
The lady exclaimed, "Why, I didn't send for a piano tuner."
The man replied, "I know you didn't, but your neighbors did."

Good morning, Kudsman.
Second is good. :) Nice to see you this morning.
I'm complaining about the rain here. We need rain but why do we always get the year's total in a two week time frame?
I hope you are having a good day ...... stay warm.

Good morning, IA.
It rained half an inch between 3:30 and 7:00. Seems to have slowed down to a sprinkle now but it looks like there is more coming.
Stay dry ..... have a seat by the fire and enjoy a cup of coffee.

I'm doing fine for now.
Children need to get to school and eat and to be amused.
I do what I can..the best I can and still get some of my work done.
She is missed by us all but she will be home tomorrow.
All 3 kids were able to talk to her last night.
That makes it easier on them.
Our 17 yr old is with her.

Speaking of piano tuners, that reminds me
of the woman who lived deep in the mountains
and hired Oscar Opporknockity to make the day's travel
to tune her piano...
After spending the whole day in transit,
he finally arrived, tuned the piano, double checked everything and asked her several times to make SURE
it was right.
"Oh yes," she said...it's perfect.
So he travelled aaaall the way back,
only to receive a call from her the next day
to please return ... it just didn't sound
quite right.
"Sorry, m'am," he said.
"Opporknockity only tunes once."
