I didn't observe "Buy Nothing Day" either. :)
My Sis took Marissa, her brother and my Sis's grandson to the movies this afternoon (SpongeBob Square Pants). I used the opportunity to do some birthday and Christmas shopping for Marissa.
While I was out, I picked up a couple of small things for my son.
I would never have lasted all day. I was ready to come home after 3 hours.
I was ready to come home as soon as I got in line this morning. LOL! I had trouble waking up. At least I didn't drive to the store. :-)
Oh, I don't blame you, Amy. I love Christmas, but I don't like spending hours shopping and walking around.
Hey, we Freepers are very similar, hahaha.
LOL! I've never been a morning person. ;-)
I know what you mean. It's nice having a long weekend, even a weekend. It's nice not having to work, LOL!
So true. LOL!
I'll try again. I tried to post a reply and lost my satellite signal so I have to start over. :(
The rest of my shopping should not be too bad. Marissa and I will meet a friend for lunch and then do some shopping before coming home.
I need to make a trip to an electronics store. My son wants a police scanner and an 8 device LCD Touch Panel Remote. I'm sure the 5 year old will enjoy that store. :)
I do not enjoy Christmas shopping when I am rushed. I prefer to do it one or two gifts at a time.
I have to come up with a list of gifts to buy. I don't like shopping at the last minute.
Sounds great, Amy. Hope you and Marissa enjoy your next shopping. I know she will.
There is another bad word you just mentioned list LOL! Just kidding.
LOL! Me and my bad habits. ;-)
I'll see you tomorrow, Tulip and Amy. Have a good day.
I need to get some sleep too. I just realized I've been up for over 20 hours now. LOL! Have a good night and I'll see you tomorrow.
Sweet dreams, Victoria. See ya tomorrow.
I'm going to lurk a little to see what's happening in the world. I missed the news today.
Nite Tulip. Sweet dreams.
I'll see you tomorrow. Have a restful night.
Thank you both so much. Youll never know just how much I appreciate your prayers.
Unfortunately Im facing a double whammy with this. As you probably know, chemo destroys red blood cells and mine was already down to 6/20 when I started last Monday. That meant I had to take three units of blood and intravenous iron in addition to the chemo. I was hooked up to some kind of i.v. for 6 hours on Monday, 7 hours on Tuesday and 4 hours on Wednesday.
But by far the worst was the bone marrow test on Monday. That had this child screaming like a girlie-man. Dont think Ill ever take another one of those without being put to sleep.
Good thing is that I get two weeks off before the next round. However, I have to go for radiation next week. They are trying for a one-two punch. Heres hoping that it is successful.
Lyrics I found..
Nightwish - Sleepwalker
From the album "Over The Hill And Far Away"
Close your eyes
Feel the ocean where passion lies
Silently the senses
Abandon all defences
A place between
sleep and awake
End of innocence, unending masquerade
That's where I'll wait for you
Hold me near you
So close I sear you
Seeing, believing
Dreaming, decieving
A place between
sleep and awake
End of innocence, unending masquerade
That's where I'll wait for you
Sleepwalker seducing me
I dare to enter your ecstacy
Lay yourself now down to sleep
In my dreams you're mine to keep
Sleepwalker..
Sleepwalker..
(Sleepwalk with me...)
Sleepwalker seducing me
I dare to enter your ecstacy
Lay yourself now down to sleep
In my dreams you're mine... to... keep
Read: Psalm 14
There is none who does good, no, not one. Psalm 14:3
Bible In One Year: Ezekiel 30-32; 1 Peter 4
An employee in the bill-collection department of a large store gave me an insight into human nature. He told me that he repeatedly gets the following response from customers who are delinquent in paying their bills: "I know you must have others who owe a lot more than I do. Get off my back, will you!"
The employee then told me, "They miss the point entirely. Sure, there are a lot of others who owe more. But somehow I have to tell them in a nice way, 'Look, what somebody else owes isn't the issue. Our records say that your account is overdue!'"
The tendency of sinful man has always been to shift attention from himself by pointing the finger at others. Religious people excuse their inconsistencies by referring to the "pagans" around them. And the "pagans" try to sidestep the issue by talking about the hypocrisies of the religious. But God is not fooled by finger-pointers.
When someone else appears to be a greater sinner than we are, it's just an illusion. The sooner we realize that no one owes more to God than we do, the more likely we are to receive His free forgiveness. He extends His pardon only to those who humbly acknowledge that they are hopelessly in debt. Mart De Haan
I'm sorry. :-( At least you are getting treatment. Prayers that it is successful!
