Ping List Envy---How big is your Ping List?

Over the past couple of months, my DUmmie FUnnies PING List has grown very rapidly until it now numbers 252 Freepers. Okay, so how big is your Ping List? Maybe I'm suffering from Ping List Envy but I have to know how big the other Ping Lists are.

FReeper Tolik also has a great PING list for "Moral Clarity" articles. I don't know if he calls it "Nailed It!" or "Moral Clarity," but it's a great way to be PINGed to excellent opinion articles.

And don't forget Mr. Silverback's "Useful Idiot Caption-a-Rama" ping list.

I have what I call my personal list. It is 20 or so names that I ping all the time to different things. I used to call it the short list but some (being male) objected to the title. I did get a few comments from strangers anyway.

LOL... I do remember about 5 names on certain topics, so it's not all bad. But I did, once upon a time, stick this little memo in my FR profile because of the feedback I was getting from pinging people:

"If you're wondering why I bumped you to a topic if you have no idea who I am... either I've read some post of yours on a similar topic, or I just plain like your thinking/deduction."

Wow. Including the weekly members and the individual pingers (and excluding the list of people who have requested they be removed, which is another 13 former members), GGG has 331 members (currently). Holy smokes. But hey, it's not that busy a list, and as the old song sez, it ain't the meat, it's the motion.

Please FREEPMAIL me if you want on, off, or alter the "Gods, Graves, Glyphs" PING list --

I'll count 'em definitively this weekend sometime.

Easy way to count, takes under 1 minute:

1. Copy the list into a new Word document.

2. Make sure the last name on the list has a semi-colon after it.

3. Select "Replace" on the "edit" menu.

4. Replace all your semi-colons with a different symbol. The computer will tell you how many it replaced, and that is the number of names on the ping list.

I can't believe you ONLY have 159 signed up for the Caption-A-Rama. While that's a lot, some people obviously don't know what they are missing.

The DUmmies are sort of my hobby. It is like having a DUmmie Ant Farm. It fascinates me to see them scrambling around in the DUmmie Ant Farm. Sort of like a sociological/psychological study of the highly disturbed.

Well, I hate to whine, but...people were signing up right and left, several new folks every week, until the mods started moving it to chat. It just doesn't get seen as often, I think.

Somday soon here I'm going to appeal again for mercy. Maybe they'll let me put it in News/activism editorial.
