Orange you glad you saw my face?
 Dig my manly tan.
 Terayza says Im rugged,
 It came from a can.
Of course the botox smooths me out,
 I think I look great.
My hair is my best sell point,
 Bad looks are my fate.
When I lose and Ill lose big,
 I know who to blame.
 George Bush without much effort,
 Sure makes me look lame.

The Hughes HK-1 Flying Boat was conceived of during World War II, as a solution to the Allies critical need to fly over enemy submarines that were devastating shipping lanes. The brainchild of Henry Kaiser, it was designed and constructed by Howard Hughes and his staff. Built of wood--primarily birch, not spruce--to avoid using materials considered essential to the war effort, the massive plane became better known as the Spruce Goose. Unfortunately, it was not completed until after the war had ended, and flew only once, on November 2, 1947.

The Spruce Goose is still the biggest plane ever built. The wingspan (320 feet), chord (51 feet), depth (11 feet), and area (11,430 square feet) remain unapproached to this day. To fully appreciate its size, consider that its wingspan is about half again that of a modern Boeing 747-400!

 Happy Goose Day!!

    SOCIAL SECURITY:

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month -- and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the federal government to "put away," You may be interested in the following:

Q: Which party took Social Security from an independent fund and put it in the general fund so that Congress could spend it? A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratic-controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which party put a tax on Social Security? A: The Democratic party.

Q: Which party increased the tax on Social Security? A: The Democratic Party with Al Gore casting the deciding vote.

Q: Which party decided to give money to immigrants? A: That's right, immigrants moved into this country and at 65 got SSI Social Security. The Democratic Party gave that to them although they never paid a dime into it.

Then, after doing all this, the Democrats turn around and tell you the Republicans want to take your Social Security.

And the worst part about it is, people believe it!

    I know.
And this latest thing about teh draft has me ticked.
The left keeps claiming that Republicans want to restart the draft.
But it's Charlie Rangle and 14 dumolcrats currently pushing for it.

You called it right on the amphib. Very popular in Alaska. How many planes have you built?
