That's what I was afraid of. She'd probably eat my lunch too!
I wrote seven sylables,
Male labs range from 80-100 lbs. LulaBelle is 75 lbs which is average for females.
That is CG 2 years ago. LulaBelle will be 3 in November.
She ate two ten ounce New York Strips that were grilled to perfection one night when Laura left the kitchen for 5 minutes.
Didn't waste a morsel.
I'm wishing you a beautiful Thursday, too!
Lulabelle shore is a purty doggy!
LOL! Now Amy, didn't you know Louie/Max was gonna be big? ; )
Shesh, 50 lbs. at 4 months!!! THAT IS BIG!!
Thank you C.G.
I miss my little buddy. If his temp continues to stay normal I'll be taking him home after work tonite. I called my p.t. job to let them know I won't be in. Everything is too far away from each other (work, vet, home, work) for me to get to my pt job with much time to spare. I only work 2 1/2 hours there in the evenings.
Oh no. I can think of nothing to write. I'm not a poet. Thank you for including me though.
If I, through some miracle, come up with something, I'll add it.
Don't be a quitter. It's easy!
Even a non-poet can do it at home.
Finish CG's line with a rhyme, or not.
Or better, to continue the delicious incongruity:
Tao of the Renga *
crystals form like fallen ferns
fond memories flirting in time
gone the green essence of life
fine fronds weaving with the wind
feathery wisps of lace blend
with blue skies and autumn hues
light peers through, distant, haunting
an eery pause to reflect
our spirit seeks elusive truths
silence merely mocks with smiles
we yearn to hear the message
only sorrows pierce the calm:
used to drive a limousine
now I'm wearing Army green
got a letter in the mail
go to war or go to jail
* Renga or "linked verse" is Japanese poetry
whereby people take turns adding lines or verses.
One types 7 syllables -- not words -- in a line,
which is in turn completed by another person.
Hope all is well with him..and good luck with giving him his meds!
LOL!
If it's a problem I found the best way to pill him is to squat down on top of him, with my feet together behind him, pry his mouth open with one hand and throw the pill to the back of his mouth with the other. I hold his mouth closed for a few seconds and stroke his throat. (Anything involving holding his mouth at this point must be done carefully because he reaches up with one paw to move my hand away. And, yes, he still has all his claws!) Then watch him as he walks away to make sure he doesn't spit it out!
That is the best way. When I took Boo to the vet last time, they had a spring-loaded gizmo that threw the pill down her throat. Dogs are much easier..they will eat ANYTHING that is wrapped up in cheese.
I tried the cheese thing with the cat once just to see if it would work. Their mouths are smaller so they take bites out of the cheese and of course find the pill, eat the cheese leaving the pill behind. Oh well, the other way is MUCH more adventurous!
(Did I do it right?)

said he'd make me a shooter.

She is a good dog if you keep her away from your food.
Beautiful OESY!!!
