E-xactly

My mind has a deficiency, a need for much more E,
E-mail, E-commerce, chat rooms and E-hilarity.
I feel a craving to converse, but through my fingertips,
As much as any logorrheic may do it with his lips.

I like to think I’m clever, with witty repartee,
Truth is, I even get a kick from the emoticons I see ;)
I cannot venture far away, from my link out to the world,
Without my E-communication, my mental flags are furled.

Like ET, when his ship returns, my heart comes back to life,
My heart-light shines out to the world; my cleverness is rife.
At least I like to think it’s so; my contacts do agree,
But they are likely as pathetic in their way as they find me.

We’re building a new species, one that depends on juice,
Electrical connections feed us, and we wither when they’re loose.
We’ll break out soon with wireless. Our new kind will be free!
You’ll know which ones we are, of course, ‘cause we all start with E.

Thank you, Tulip. Yes ..... it's been a year and it has gone very fast.

There are many wonderful poems and graphics on the old threads but I could not post all of them. :) Maybe I will add a few more today. It was fun taking a second look at them.

It was fun going thru the old threads. I didn't get through very many of them, tho.

I haven't seen JustFrank but it was his job to clean up after the celebration yesterday. It looks like he's staying out of sight until someone else takes care of it.
