You always hit a home run with the message you serve with our morning coffee. I don't pick em, I just punch the date and post what they post at Our Daily Bread..

God's Garden
I was asked to write a poem for our church's Ladies night out. The speaker was speaking about how each of us is different for a purpose and this is what I came up with:
God's Garden
God has made a special garden in the Human race, you see,
A colorful arrangment in the form of you and me.
A precious bit of handy work, He formed us in His hand.
Each like a fragile flower, growing on the land.
He made us in His image, He filled us with His grace,
He knew us each before time began and He planted us in this place.
Daffodils and daisies are the happiest of flowers,
Their faces brightly beaming - even in the darkest hours.
Roses and orchids are flowers of love,
Passionate colors- a gift from above.
Lilacs and hycinth are flowers with heart,
Heavy with fragrance and imaginative art.
Ivy and wild flowers and often times clover,
They want to be leaders and often take over.
Each of us has a unique invitation
From the Master of this amazing creation.
To take hold of the flower He made us to be
And be all that we can- a whole you and me.
Don't let the weeds come choke out your light,
Grow ever stronger and keep up the good fight.
God made a promise to see us through,
From start to finish, from old to brand new.
