Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

I see this during car accidents...not at bombs and shootings. No one I know personally ran towards the towers on 9/11(I only know some cops causually). The folks I know who were downtown knew something was wrong and headed the other way. Shrug.

I just don't see it. Everyone I know, bails out when the bombs go off.

I'm puzzled too but for different reasons. The threat level is lowered except for certain cities that are not named. Helicopters back and forth flying low. ( They're not the TV station traffic helicopters.) All cars at the airport are being searched, not just those parking but those just dropping passengers off. Is my city on elevated alert ? I don't know.

I wouldn't say that. The left has been trumping the downing of a Helicopter and 9 dead as proof of Bush's failed policies. Of course their policies and Al Gore would have had us saying "Uncle" to AQ on 9/12.

What I do to catch up when I find hundreds of unread posts is quickly glance at any posts to me and then go to the latest post and read backwards until I feel like I'm getting some of the newest puzzle pieces together. Then I go back to where I left off the day before and speed read straight down the middle of the page. Your eyes will pull all of it in and you will pick up speed as you go.

this is exactly why i think they may have stopped something. going into red is going to cause panic, and i think if they (the special teams deployed to look for them) had found nukes, they wouldn't say a word, cause it would probably cause just as much panic (people scared that nukes have been found and demanding they look harder). i take these threats seriously and i have been crapping myself over these latest, but i feel that we have may have messed up their plans. i mostly feel that way from reading EOM's posts and seeing him promising events will start "very soon" since december 20th. i honestly feel that the level was dropped because they prevented attacks and they know it. there's alot the government won't tell us regarding terrorism, so as not to cause panic we don't need during this, but as much as i see people saying otherwise, i think they're actually compentant. that's why i feel if there were nukes, and even threats of nukes, they would have kept the orange alert up, and possibly go into red as time went on. i feel the threats are being exaggerated, even though the threat is very real. terrorism is meant to create terror through words AND actions. they'll tell us over and over again they're going to attack, so we never have a moment to feel safe. i feel these posts from EOM and daleel are just that. hopefullythe attacks have been stopped or delayed so we can nab the people responsible before they happen. i'm one to fall into alarmism, which is a mistake. it makes us scared. our concern is out of the fear they're spreading. we won't know if their threats are real until they happen, but i seriously doubt the government would go to yellow if the threat were still present. we need to be as prepared for anything now as we need to be at any other time and not let the terrorist win by striking fear into our hearts. stay vigilant, stay safe, and keep your faith in god and the government. don't let alarmism get to you and hopefully we'll all pull through.

Millstone is as close to the northern part of LI as the Westchester nuke facility is to NYC though; it is fairly close. Brookhaven National Lab offers radiation for cancer patients and perhaps other nuclear medicine... and they are involved in plenty of other stuff not health related at all some of which the Feds have under lock and key. I know they work or did work on a collider that could have weaponry use of some kind.

I vaguely recall sometime not too far before 911 where business and residences along the main road that the Lab is located on -- but much further south on this road -- had their computers and other electronics fried for some reason that went unexplained as far as I remember (this was before 911, so people were not paying as close attention to the matter, including me). It was a mystery in the local papers and I recall that the folks affected were demanding compensation from the county government and/or the power company. I don't know how or if the incidences were ever explained or compensated. Perhaps it was a power spike (right, _Jim?) or -- he he -- a tesla toy mistake?!

From the articles I posted, no. I didn't test their archive searchs too thoroughly. I did find 2001 mentions (and more) from the DEC though, http://www.dec.state.ny.us/website/reg1/ihwsites/sylvania.html

So, I think it is safe to assume, this has been an ongoing issue.

Medical folks run towards the event automatically...this is the real problem and the rational behind the secondary (larger) explosion. I did this myself back in the mid 80's...witnessed a bona fide psychotic at a suburban Philly mall shoot the place up and kill shoppers on 10/30. The gunfire was still echoing at the far end of the mall and I was crawling out of a store into the concourse to aid the 5 victims who dropped right in front of my view.

MORE likely a primary to secondary 'short' on a power transformer (it can and *does* happen on a not too regular basis) than *any* sort of 'EMP' like device.

And it is best for the nation to see him function normally while those in facilities and those fields pertinent to homeland security keep up "full shields and phasers ready". Preparation and awareness are key but don't hesitate to listen to your intuition.
