Maria Bartiromo has reportedly spoken with CBS News chief Bari Weiss about a potential broadcasting role on 60 Minutes following her sudden exit from Fox News.
The potential move could put Bartiromo on one of television’s biggest stages. According to insiders, 60 Minutes was among the destinations discussed as the 58-year-old sought an immediate broadcasting comeback.
Fox News might have done her a big favor and hurt themselves more than they realized.
Fox News has already renamed her show Mornings with Fox Business instead of Mornings with Maria.
Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice reported that Bartiromo and Weiss had already discussed the possibility. “Maria and Bari have already spoken,” a television insider said. “Maria isn’t sitting around licking her wounds. She’s moving fast, and 60 Minutes is absolutely in the mix.”
“Maria brings something Bari understands is valuable: access,” the insider said. They added that she could reach “CEOs, billionaires, political power players and Wall Street titans.”
This would be a very big promotion for Maria, a loss for Fox who can’t get out of their way, and it could make 60 Minutes a watchable show.

Weiss seems to be attempting to commit real journalism at CBS.
Network news is pretend news democrat cover up experts.
From on Black Rock employer to the next. Who cares?.
My respect for Fox gets less every day. There are fewer shows left that I will invest time in.
Never understood people who have wealth that still have the yearn to work, like pro sports players that hang on for 15-20 years. But that is just me.
Becoming liberal Faux News being destroyed by the libtard kids.
“Never understood people who have wealth that still have the yearn to work,”
Their identity gets hopelessly interwined with their job. No job no identity. Got to be strong psychologically to survive loss of job. Also got to know when to hang up the cleats. Many are found lifeless and face down on their desk. Good luck to Maria.
I still watch Charles Payne in the early afternoon. I love his show. Varney isn’t bad either. That’s about it.
I enjoy The Big Money Show. I watch Fox Business more than the News channel.
What’s with the “musical chairs” at FOX? FOX swinging left?
Yes. It’s been taken over by the Left.......
This would be a huge get for 60 minutes. They need to fire a few of the lefties still there though.
Maybe CBS will fix her hair.
Still won’t watch 60 mns even IF she’s on there.
I was thinking she would instantly make NewsMax a power player people would harass their providers to get.
But believe the smart move would be somewhere in the Trump Administration. “Finance Czar” or something along those lines.
CBS has a long, long way to go for my Tagline to become inaccurate.
FOX has been swinging left for many, many years...and why they are now known as Faux News.
Bartiromo (or any other financial reporter) makes zero sense for 60 Minutes.
Me as well!!! I retired at age 57, and the only regret I have is why I did not retire earlier. I had developed so many health issues working full time in my 50’s, and needed regular visits to doctor’s office. I have enjoyed retirement immensely and the bonus was that my health improved hugely. Okay, so I had much more time to play 18 holes 5 times every week. That was phenomenal exercise for 4.5 hours each round without getting bored for a minute. Now at age 86 I am still in perfect health.
