An “Italian” imam named Ali Kashif went on TV and announced that girls who have reached nine years of age may be considered women, and are appropriate marriage material. Back when Jesus was born, Jewish women were often married at 12 and gave birth in 1 to 3 years. Of course the cultures were much different back then, and they were women. They had grown up in a tribe and knew who they were, what they believed, and had worked from a young age.
As culture expanded and so many other influences being added and wealth, kids didn’t leave adolesence until later. Studies show that with the advent of social media, average age of being an “adult” for men is something like 31 years old! Women is a bit less - 27 or so??
I would think living in rural America, working on a farm, marriage age of 16 or 17 might still be a thing.

Now it's up to the Italians to decide if having disgusting Muslim men hitting on their 9 year old daughters in Italy as matter of Islamic rights is what they want the future to look like.
As an aside, In Islamic countries the primary inhibition keeping dirty old Muslim men from messing with your daughter is that your family will get together and kill their family in a blood feud if one of their men gets out of line.
That method of social control is not an option in the EU (at least on the side of the EU non Muslim natives) which is one of the reasons why the EU is having such a bad time with the Muslim invaders.
