At the start of the video, the home defender is wearing a helmet and other gear. Those were put on to make the introductory video. He was not wearing that gear when he shot the bear.

This is exactly why Madison wrote the 2nd Amendment. /s

This dude is bad to the bone. Sweeps his house with his AR and kills him a big ass black bear. Bad. To. The. Bone.

The [2nd story] window was cracked to allow the house to cool down at night (no air conditioning). The bear pushed the window open and then pushed in the window screen.

Bear was too smart for its own good. And, jeez, keep the firearm next to the bed.

Since he already made a mess on the floor, he should have just butchered the bear right there, and made himself a nice bearskin rug too. If the bear had a tracking collar, he can just go get a helium balloon at the store and take it for a ride. No one needs to know he shot the bear, and then no one will ask any questions.

I liked his comments at the last 30 second of his video.

I’ve heard of “2nd-Story Men” who specialize in burglaring upper floors but a bear? Gonna have to keep the honey in a safe, I guess.

I’m not quite sure how the bear opened the window. Pushed it up, or out? Anyway, consider using a nail (or something similar) to keep a bear from pushing up an open window.

You might not have bears in your area. But burglars, maybe.

So, what Libs call an “Assault Rifle”, is actually a bear killer weapon.

That was smart! Always drag an intruder into your house after you shoot them

Many years ago I killed a charging black bear in my back yard at my Alaska home that looked about the same size as this critter. I used a Galil semi-auto rifle in .308 Winchester loaded with 150 grain soft point bullets. It took four close range shots to stop it. That was more excitement than I ever hope to have again.

Our resident bear lover will be along in a few minutes to morn the bear and rage for vengeance against the people responsible for his death.

Some people are really not well people.

Apparently the bear thought that he had a scary looking rifle that is only meant to kill humans.

You’re correct. The first thing I noticed, at about 10 sec, was that the rifle did not have a magazine in place.

Homeowner Uses AR-15 to Defend Against Black Bear in Home

Excellent!!

A second story bear should have chosen a home that had one of those "There Are No Guns In This Home" yard signs.

The dude was way under-gunned. Should have went with the .375 H&H Magnum.
