VIDEO
Let this video be your warning to NEVER go on a computer date because even if she turns out to good looking, there is an excellent chance you will end up with someone who has gone Full Mental Jacket. Oh, and avoid blind dates as well. Those almost never work out. Ol' PJ once knew a woman who looked like Sophia Loren who set me up on a blind date with her sister. I figured the sister must also give off the same Sophia Loren vibes so imagine my SHOCK when the door opened to my blind date who looked exactly like ...Nikita Khrushchev. And that was just the start of my night of HORROR. Yes, it's funny now to tell the story of what happened but at the time, I was in a world of disgust and MISERY.
So this is my PSA. NEVER date any woman who you haven't personally seen AND talked to first.

As Christian’s they lived separately until they got married. He did move to their town a few months before they got married and stayed at their pastors spare room.

When I was still in the infantry, I had talked to a girl online. This is before the days of digital cameras. She described herself as blonde, blue eyes, 5’11, 145lbs. After a while of talking, she agrees to a date. I jump in my fast car and head over. This girl walks out of the house and she didn’t lie. She was blonde and 5’11. Well, maybe she did fib a little. The 145 lbs was backwards. Maybe it was a typo. I was in my car still looking out at this, then I just dropped in gear and left about a 50’ patch of rubber lol. I don’t know what she was thinking. That I wouldn’t notice? Dazzle me with her winning smile? I didn’t stick around to find out.

My parents also met on a blind date and had been married nearly 54 years when my mother died.

IIRC that’s a remake of Sam Cooke’s song.

"Men, if you are not listed as over 6 feet tall then you have zero chance on a dating app."
And women say men are superficial!
Women are bogus!

Yeah, I showed my age with some of that. Amiga. Having to park hard drives before moving them. When RAM was more limited we sometimes tried to use only a WORD instead of a whole BYTE. LOL

Just meet the mother if possible.....you’ll have a really good idea of what she’s gonna look like later. I am SO glad that this was not true of my wife...

Almost there once but backed out last minute after “marriage counseling” by a Mormon bishop.

20 years ago, my wife and I met for the first time after arranging our date through an online computer dating site. She was, at first, hesitant with the prospect of the date because of the distance between us ... a two-and-a-half drive from Fort Hood to Fort Worth. I sealed the deal by telling her, "I've got a car and I'm not afraid to use it."
We were married two months later and, this year, are celebrating our 20th anniversary.

Mr.GG2 and I met through yahoo personals online 19 glorious years ago. Of course we did exchange photos and spoke on the phone etc before our first date which was a jaunt to Big Red Plantation south of Atlanta to shoot a 12 stand and attend their barbecue. 😉

Perhaps people on Christian sites, are better quality people, than found on other sites? Faith-based sites in general are better (I'm Jewish) because they work within a specific demographic. It is important to share the same goals, values & lifestyle.
