Truth often sounds like fiction, especially when it does not fit the listener’s model of the world and what they believe to be in the realm of possibility. If you lived in Germany in 1933, you might hear news the new chancellor, Adolf Hitler, was arresting political opponents and putting them in a newly built prison. Unless you knew those people personally, you might dismiss the news as a conspiracy theory designed to hurt Hitler. Later, in November of 1938, when you heard the news of Jews being rounded up and sent to the same prison, you might dismiss it as well. So the smoke screen worked.
Perhaps you heard Donald Trump report illegal immigrants are eating cats and animals in Springfield, Ohio. You may have scoffed at him as insane for bringing you that news, news a credible news agency should be covering. But, instead of investigating, the debate moderator from the ABC channel suggested to a national audience that Trump made it up. And Kamala Harris flashed a horrified, “you sad, insane old man” look in Trump’s direction. Just what the DNC ordered, but it’s far from the truth. Trump was right and he fell into the trap of sounding insane by reporting what is strange behavior, unless you are familiar with Haiti and voodoo. Facts are stranger than fiction. Haitians practicing voodoo actually drink the blood from the cats while they are alive until the cat dies from blood loss as part of a common Voodoo practice.
Now I sound insane.
Conspiracy identifiers’ claims sound so outlandish that they make them sound insane, and so the actual conspirators are given cover to continue their conspiracy. The conspirators are often the first to paint the person sounding an alarm as insane. Conspirators count on and tend to fuel disbelief as a smoke screen for their actions. Our cooperative mainstream media, who abandoned their role of investigating claims to determine truth, has placed our country in grave danger. They actively participate in silencing and mocking any party who steps in to fill their investigative role or alter the accepted narrative. When there is an absence of an inquisitive press to challenge authority and the official narrative, societies soon collapse or are overthrown by forces intent on seizing power.
In 2020, anyone criticizing Anthony Fauci’s mask mandate was called a conspiracy theorist. The medical paper claiming masks are effective against viruses was quickly debunked by peers in the medical field. The 3M N95 masks, so called because it filters up to 95% of the particles 300 nanometers in size or larger, could not stop the Covid virus that is three times smaller than 300 nanometers. The N95 is also usually worn with eye protection to protect the mucus membranes of the eyes from exposure. Fauci never suggested protecting the eyes. The blue masks worn by everyone are not at all effective and on their box clearly warns “not to be used for medical purposes”. But all these facts opposed Fauci’s mandate that the public follow his orders, and mentioning any of them got you labeled a radical conspiracy theorist by the mainstream press and banned from social media.
The Lancet retracted the article Fauci used as “fact” to remove Hydroxychloroquine from use on Covid-19. The press spread disinformation about Ivermectin, boiling this Noble Prize-winning drug down to a horse de-wormer. Yes, there is an equine version for that purpose, but like many drugs, Ivermectin does many things. Both drugs were effective against the virus, but they stood in the way of the FDA rules for Emergency Use Authorization of the new vaccines. Their presence as effective treatments meant Anthony Fauci couldn’t get Emergency Use Authorization to push an experimental “vaccine” to which he owns patient rights. With those two drugs out of the way, Fauci could proceed with his vaccine sales. The mainstream media played along with Fauci, ignored science, called anyone opposing Fauci’s vaccines and masking mandates conspiracy theorists who are anti-science, and collected millions in ad revenue from Pfizer. Meanwhile, Fauci didn’t treat one Covid patient, and attacked those leading the life-saving efforts and developing effective Covid treatment protocols. (Never forget the loved ones in nursing homes and hospitals unable to even touch their loved ones and dying alone because of Fauci’s lockdowns and arbitrary 6-foot rule.)
What has existed and is growing in strength is a manipulative mainstream media dedicated to serving its corporate and DNC interests. Gone is an objective, investigative mainstream media. In the case of Covid, mainstream media’s lack of investigation and questioning of the official narrative likely cost hundreds of thousands of lives, destroyed businesses, and created financial and emotional hardship for most of America.
In the case of the 2024 election, allowing mainstream media to misrepresent Trump and throw this Presidential election may cost millions of lives and our country. Trump’s report of illegal immigrant atrocities was accurate, but it counters Harris’s claims that all is well with her border policy that brought them here and her narrative that Americans are more dangerous than immigrants. Both stories ABC helped propagate. At this point, Americans are more dangerous – to Harris’s political pursuits – because they will likely oust her from office based on her performance as Vice President and Border Czar. Illegal immigrants are safer to her because they can stack the vote in her favor with illegal votes. But to suggest that this is her plan, despite strong evidence of DNC maneuvers to enable the cheat, makes me sound like a conspiracy theorist, doesn’t it?
The First Amendment recognizes our God-given right to freedom of speech and freedom of the press because the Founders understood the role of free communication in holding elected officials accountable. To its credit, the alternative media shines a light on issues affecting our freedom and allows Americans to engage in a national dialogue when the mainstream media seems intent on suppressing that dialogue. Americans of both parties should demand accountability and action from the mainstream media and an end to the censorship of alternative media and the dissenting American public.

A great campaign ad could be a collage of Trump statements that were treated as fantasies by the left, accompanied by their looks of amazement and laughter with the laugh tracks getting louder, followed by a quick, one second vindication statement after each, ending with silence while Trump says they are bring us to WWIII.
Both Trump and Musk are paradigm busters...which is why they are misunderstood and even hated by conventional people.
I remember when Trump was a rock star — beloved by all.
It made no sense when just about all of his “friends” turned on him June 16, 2015, en masse. The only thing that explains it (to me) is that we had/have no idea how deep the corruption is in America. The ONLY possible reason for the reversal of so many is that his policies threaten them bigly. Or Satan.
Trump is an unconventional, out-of-the-box thinker in his personal and professional life. Conventional people loathe unconventional people like Trump for the obvious reasons.
Trump doesn't try to please anyone, is a straight talker (not uncommon for people from Queens), and just speaks the truth as he knows it. People who follow the herd hate that.
The people in the Deep State, many politicians, Democrats, many senior officers in the Pentagon, and button-down sorts everywhere really hate people who are independent.

I was pretty much the same way. (Have toned it down over the years.) A couple people have commented, “You must be from New York” — LOL. I actually am, but on the opposite side of the state from NYC.

I was born and raised in South Georgia (very conventional place) but felt more at home in NYC (where I spent most of my career).
And they would accuse you of WANTING to kill grandma. And this is why I will forever refer to anyone who pushed, mandated, or supported the stupid masks as masktards. They deserve as much contempt and disrespect as they can be given.

First Amendment proponents must be very careful not to be suckered into the Communist fascistic approach of ridiculing and shaming free thinkers and speakers into silence. Before you react, reflect on whether you are being duped into joining this ridicule bandwagon just to ingratiate yourself with the bourgeoisie crowd. At the ‘debate’ the perfect display of this was the overplayed theatrical facial display by Kamala to Trump’s remarks on Haitians eating cats and dogs. This Communist shaming also plays out more generally by those who find themselves preceding any remark regarding Trump with some degree of disingenuous criticism of Trump just to endear themselves with their audience.

I know many intelligent people who continue to believe in masks, covid vaccines, hunter’s laptop was Russian fakery, Trump was a Russian spy, haitians never eat pets, etc...
BECAUSE they (and all of us) are surrounded by massive propaganda outlets which serve to confirm and maintain them in their comfortable beliefs. The protective bubble is maintained.

South Florida police ran into that kind of thing many decades ago around the time of the Mariel Boat Lift - running across what looked like animal torture but was in fact animal sacrifices as part of Caribbean Voodoo religions. Never heard of the drinking cat blood - but who knows. The bigger issues - the real ones - are how illegals are destroying communities with the help of left wing incentives. Like housing vouchers that make it more profitable to rent to illegals than to Americans. Much higher crime rates etc etc/
