Former President Donald Trump received a rowdy reception when he walked into a Vietnamese restaurant in northern Virginia on Monday.
The 45th president visited the Truong Tien Vietnamese Restaurant in Falls Church, Virginia, along with Virginia U.S. Senate candidate Hung Cao. The Naval Academy graduate and combat veteran is running to replace incumbent Democrat Sen. Tim Kaine.
“In Florida, we go down and we have large groups of people, always dressed perfectly, with the red and the silver. I say, ‘You’re the most beautiful dressers I’ve ever seen,'” he added.
Trump then turned to the senate candidate and said, “I love his name — Hung Cao. I love that name, and that name alone should get you elected.”
Cao earlier in the day had been with Trump when the 45th president laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery in memory of the 13 service members killed by a suicide bomb attack at Abbey Gate in Kabul, Afghanistan, during the Biden’s administration chaotic withdrawal of American forces.
Cao was at Trump’s side when he entered Truong Tien Vietnamese Restaurant and the room broke out in cheers and applause.
“Somehow, I don’t know what it is — you’ll have to explain it — the Vietnamese community loves me, and I love them,” Trump said, causing the people in the room to cheer even louder and break out into a chant of “USA! USA! USA!”

Yeah. No.
Hung Bull.............
All of Kamala’s cat ladies should love him. He’s Hung.
Fox News was showing his speech there.
Out at Seven Corners.
The Việt Kiều, at least hereabouts, are pretty solidly Trump fans as are the Cubans in South Florida. They know about socialist/communist implementation. They left such systems for American freedom. Some are apprehensive.

Spring Rolls for everybody!!!
Nice sentiment anyway. Most of the former South Vietnamese I know are solid Trump supporters. They know what Communism is like and don't want to have it here.
Damn, that is a FANTASTIC ad! One of the best I’ve seen. What a leader and man!
That was excellent.
Thanks.

Damn straight I know that is the Republic of Vietnam. Among the Vietnamese community, that flag never stopped being the flag of Vietnam. You might get your ass kicked if you would suggest otherwise. I dare anyone to walk through a Vietnamese neighborhood while carrying the communist Vietnam flag. No dice.
That’s the guy Trump greeted at the event with Tulsi, really likes him.
“Out at Seven Corners.”
My old ‘hood... sure was nice in the late 60s early 70s. When I left northern Virginia, the “mixing bowl” was a yield sign where 495 merged with 95... and once you got past the beltway you were in the sticks. The good ‘ol days.
Note that Trump doesn’t need to clear out a restaurant of staff and patrons and replace them with campaign workers when he does a photo op. By contrast, Kamalalaladingdong has to do that to make sure she gets a positive response for the cameras.
You do realize that you’re posting the flag of South Vietnam, a country that no longer exists.

I doubt the customers in the restaurants were communist so why show the communist flag?
My Vietnam service medal is in the colors of this flag, should we change it to the colors of the now communist Vietnam?
