Sir Paul McCartney has wished his long-standing friend and former bandmate Sir Ringo Starr a “fabulous day” on his 84th birthday.

The former Beatle, 82, shared a photo to Instagram of the pair laughing together to mark the occasion on Sunday, which also marks his late father’s birthday.

Ringo is actually the first born of the Fab Four. John would have been 84 in October of this year. Paul and George a couple years younger.

For ANYONE who dares to criticize Ringo's musicianship compared to the other Beatles, all i can say is that Ringo got to come home to a spy who loved him (Barbara Bach). Lennon had to come home to Yoko every night!!!

Years ago, my wife and I were in a theater watching a movie where someone goes back in time and someone else asks him, "Who's president in 20xx"? He replied, "Richard Starkey".

My wife and I burst out laughing, but no one else in the theater laughed. I guess they didn't know.

I saw Paul in concert precovid. He played non stop for three hours.

Wife and I took our kids, in their 30s, to see Paul in 2019. They were very impressed by his musicianship and stamina, going for three and a half hours non-stop on stage. I saw The Beatles in 1966 and they did a 35 minute show.
