Dems Are Going to Flip Out: New Jersey Poll Has Shocking, New Numbers in Presidential Race
Red State ^ | 06/29/2024 | Nick Arama

Posted on 06/29/2024 8:47:38 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

We've seen all kinds of movement in the polls away from Joe Biden and toward former President Donald Trump, and it has to be giving the Democrats fits behind the scenes.

All the groups the Democrats think are normally with them seem to be having folks abandoning Biden, and even traditionally blue states are showing shocking poll numbers favoring Trump, like in Virginia and Minnesota.

Even New York has been moving into single digits. As former Republican congressman and gubernatorial candidate in New York, Lee Zeldin explained, it was pretty astonishing how close it was getting there.

Shock Polls: Trump Edges Biden in Two Blue States That Haven't Gone With the GOP for President in Decades

If there was ever a state that one would bet their money on to stay in the grip of the Democrats, it might be New Jersey.

But now there's a poll out that is truly shocking; it has Trump up in New Jersey by one point.

📊 NEW JERSEY GE: @coefficientpoll

🟥 Trump: 41%
🟦 Biden: 40%

Trump is leading Biden 41 to 40, when one counts in Robert F. Kennedy Jr at 7 percent and undecided at 13. If there was ever a "wow," that would be it. In the 2020 election, Biden was up about 16 percent. If it's moved that close, that's incredible.

The poll is of likely voters, so that's good. It's even from before the debate, so that hasn't influenced it. That might even make the numbers move more in Trump's favor. CNN's snap poll after the debate said 67 percent thought that Trump won, compared to 33 for Biden.

Now I'm from New Jersey, although I was able to move to Texas, so I'm hesitant to jump on the poll and say New Jersey is in play. We'll have to see more polling post-debate, for example, before I would jump to that conclusion. And there do seem to be a lot of undecideds there, so it's not clear how they would break. New Jersey hasn't voted for a Republican president since 1988 and George H.W. Bush. That's a long time.

This movement is telling, I think, and it is in line with what we're seeing in places like Minnesota and Virginia, and even New York, where Biden is losing ground. We saw tens of thousands come out for Trump in Wildwood, New Jersey.

I'm cautiously optimistic, seeing so much movement in other blue states and a lot of people fleeing Biden. If this poll is true, if we get more evidence that Trump is ahead in New Jersey, we could be looking at a blowout. But the only way you make blowouts come true is to get everyone out to vote and make sure you have those votes in the bank.

Don't assume, make it happen everywhere.

Trump would need 20 points ahead to win in New Jersey .
The cheating would be that bad

This will be another thing they use to get Biden out.

Just think about what internal polls Trump & Biden campaigns are seeing.

Off point but, Menendez is running in the senate race?

Doesn’t he have some legal problems to deal with?

A lot of times large contingents of organized criminal elements got to nearby locations to set up shop. New Jersey, Bridgeport CT, and RI has some of that with NYC. Belvidere, IL was a bit of one for Capone in Chicago, Phenix City, Alabama off of nearby Columbus, GA.

"We saw tens of thousands come out for Trump in Wildwood, New Jersey."

Wildwood is in a Republican county at the southernmost tip of NJ. Trump won that county in 2020. Also, it's close to the PA suburbs. Trump has a lot of support in that area.

But, the bulk of the NJ population lives in North Jersey, closer to NY. It would be surprising if Trump won NJ, especially with the Democrat machine in power here.

Good, that costs them time, effort and money. They’re on defense on their 10 yard line. Trump won’t win NJ (unless, maybe, if Bite Me is on the ballot), but that’s less resources available for the swing states.

Whatever the truth is Trump will drop off after they replace Biden. All part of the plan.

Most.peple will understand that we can’t elect morally and cognitively impaired people (regardless ) of party to look out for our best interests. My first guess is that 81 million will drop to 56 million. Now how does a potatoe get 81 million votes. Is the question off all times. But I digress into a complete collapse of the judicial and executive branch$.

At the very least, forcing the Democrats to spend time, effort and money just to hang on in states they thought they already had in the bank is a good thing.

They need to go well beyond Trump, because Trump can’t do anything if the Dems control either side of Congress.

Former United States Senator for New Jersey Harrison Williams was caught by a Federal Bureau of Investigation sting operation in the early 1980s where agents pretended to be wealthy sheikhs attempting to buy political favors.

Ah, yes...ABSCAM (ArabScam). Senator Williams, a Democrat of course, was fooled by fake Arabs.

I Thought You Were an Arab
(Tom Paxton)

I thought you just got off of the plane
Desert sand still in your shoes
The sand was probably Virginia Beach
And you were from Newport News

I thought you were an Arab
Saw the desert in your eyes
I thought of asking for a job in Abu Dabi
‘Til you sprang that big surprise.

You handed me the money
Just like an Arab does
So I thought you were an Arab
And all the time you were the fuzz...
