This all seems like quibbling with an eye towards the media.
The two sides are engaged in a war which has been going on for 75 years. People get killed in wars. Civilians, especially, suffer.
The forces making civilians suffer (the IDF and Hamas, in this case) are engaging in empty rhetoric about what they did or didn’t do. They are pursuing political objectives using the tools of war. This is normal.
In 1945, Soviet soldiers raped maybe as many as a million women, some young enough to be called children. They nailed German boys and girls to barn doors. The US vaporized tens of thousands of women and children, and burned and disfigured hundreds of thousands of others, in Japan and in Germany.
THIS IS WAR. THIS IS WHY IT’S SO BAD, TO BE AVOIDED WHENEVER POSSIBLE.
Both sides here need to heed the advice of General Sherman, who wrote to the city fathers of Atlanta in 1864: “You cannot qualify war in harsher terms than I will. War is cruelty, and you cannot refine it...You might as well appeal against the thunder-storm as against these terrible hardships of war. They are inevitable, and the only way the people of [XYZ] can hope once more to live in peace and quiet at home, is to stop the war, which can only be done by admitting that it began in error and is perpetuated in pride”.

The IDF has gone out of its way to protect civilians, including lots of warnings and plenty of time to flee. Israel is NOT *making civilians suffer*.
Hamas started it.
If they hadn’t perpetrated Oct 7, Israel would have left them alone.
Don’t buy into islamist victimhood and propaganda. What with the warnings Israel gave them, they had PLENTY of time to remove civilians from the area. They chose not to.
Besides, it’s only their CLAIM that civilians were killed and considering how much they’ve lied in the past about *civilian casualties* I don’t believe them now either. They know how to play the world media and bleeding hearts.
If they are all so fond of human rights, they’d back off Israel and never bother them again instead of attacking them, kidnapping, torturing, raping and killing them and burning Jewish babies alive in an oven.

Their being recognized as a country is NOT them initiating conflict. They have every right to defend themselves when attacked.
What they are occupying now is their ancestral homeland from thousands of years ago.
When the Jews started coming back, it was a wasteland with almost no one living there so the muslims cannot claim it was taken from them.
