An Egyptian soldier was killed in a clash with Israeli soldiers near the Rafah Border Crossing in the southern Gaza Strip on Monday, the countries’ militaries said, in an incident that threatened the already strained ties between the nations.

The circumstances of the cross-border shooting were not immediately clear, and it was unknown which side opened fire first. There were no casualties among Israeli forces.

The Israel Defense Forces described the incident as “a shooting incident” on the border.

“There was a shooting incident on the Egyptian border; the [incident] is under investigation, [and] dialogue is taking place with the Egyptian side,” the IDF said.

The spokesperson for Egypt’s military said it was carrying out an investigation “into the shooting incident in the border area in Rafah, which led to the martyrdom of one of the [security] personnel.”

The Egyptian statement did not mention Israel.

The Ynet news site and Army Radio quoted unnamed Israeli military sources blaming Egypt for the deadly exchange of fire.

According to the reports, Egyptian forces opened fire first on Israeli troops at the Rafah Border Crossing, who responded with fire of their own.

On Monday evening, citing a preliminary investigation, a high-level source told Egypt’s state-linked Al Qahera News that the was triggered by an exchange of gunfire “between Israeli forces and members of the Palestinian resistance, which led to shooting in several directions.”

The source said Egypt will take necessary measures to prevent the incident from recurring, and has warned against compromising the security and safety of its security forces.

The crossing had been operated by the Palestinians on its Gaza side until Israeli forces captured the area as part of a broader operation in Rafah launched earlier this month.

Hanging around with the other human shields of Hamas is not a good idea. Might as well do figure 8s on roller blades in freeway traffic in Los Angeles.

Matthew 24:4-8
King James Version

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Israel and Egypt have a common enemy. The people of GAZA.

Egypt strictly controls the border between GAZA and the
nation of Egypt. It’s for good cause.

The Arabs there have a very caustic way of dealing with
other people. They just refuse to get along.

The son of the leader of Hamas (or whatever his exact status
is) stated that there are a number of terror groups in GAZA,
and if they didn’t have Israel to hate, they’d hate each
other and fall upon each other to battle.

These are very wicked people. Sorry, but that’s the long
and the short of it.

Israel takes the heat for Egypt, taking action Egypt then
doesn’t have to.

I don’t think Egypt and Israel are going at each other any
time soon.

>> These are very wicked people.

And contentious!

“I against my brother,
my brothers and I against my cousins,
then my cousins and I against strangers.”
[Claimed to be a Bedouin proverb]

“The angel of the LORD proceeded: “Behold, you [Sarai] have conceived and will bear a son. And you shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard your cry of affliction. He will be a wild donkey of a man, and his hand will be against everyone, and everyone’s hand against him; he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.” [Genesis 16:11-12]

“Ishmael’s descendants settled from Havilah to Shur, which is near the border of Egypt as you go toward Asshur. And they lived in hostility toward all their brothers.” [Genesis 25:18]

Fits rather well doesn’t it.

People can say what they want, but the Bible is an amazing
work.

What you said, and what IT says, both.

Someone once commented that if he were locked up in a prison cell with nothing but a Bible and a candle, that when he got out years later he would still know what had happened and was happening in the world.

Which anyone seeing the way the Shiites and Sunnis go after each other when there are no infidels around to kill, has already figured out long ago.

Yes, but it’s the messenger that is important here.

People do not want to believe that all peoples are not
similar, within their own groups. We know that isn’t
true.

We can tell them until we are blue in the face, and they
won’t listen. This guy can say it, and they can’t argue,
because he is one of them. He knows how they operate.

One dead soldier describes a whole nation?

President Sisi does NOT support Terrorists. Period.

Egypt survived when Obama removed Mubarak and put Morsi in power. To this day the Egyptians HATE Hillary and then Ambassador Patterson. Just like they from the beginning hated Obozo.

Sisi has cooperated with Israel to shut down the tunnels. Just like the Jordanian King has quietly in the background.

No sane person in the ME supports Terrorism.
