Florida’s Republican Governor, Ron DeSantis, is set to face off against California’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom.
The much-anticipated debate titled “DeSantis vs. Newsom: The Great Red vs. Blue State Debate,” hosted by Fox News’ Sean Hannity, is set to take place in Alpharetta, Georgia.
“FOX News Channel’s (FNC) Sean Hannity will present an exclusive live 90-minute televised debate between Florida Governor and GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis (R) and California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) on Thursday, November 30th in Alpharetta, GA. DeSantis vs. Newsom: The Great Red vs. Blue State Debate will be presented on FNC from 9-10:30 PM/ET during a two-hour edition of Hannity and will also be simulcast on FOX News Radio. Hannity will provide live reaction with a panel of guests from 10:30-11:00 PM/ET and FOX News @ Night with Trace Gallagher will follow in its regular timeslot at 11 PM/ET,” according to a FOX News press release.
It continued, “Focusing on the major issues impacting the country, the debate will examine the vastly different approaches the two governors have and offer insights into their political philosophies as well as ambitions for the nation. Throughout the debate, Hannity will highlight a variety of issues in each state, including the economy, the border, immigration, crime, and inflation. Presented without an audience, the governors will have equal opportunity to respond and address each issue.”
On my birthday! Now it’s ruined. lol
Good grief! Who funded this nonsense that no one will watch?
Wait, I thought California had travel restrictions against state employees doing business in Red States.
Don’t worry Vanity will talk over everyone and plug his latest book. Big nothing burger.
What a stupid waste of time and space.
Only good-ish thing is the location. (i.e., it is better than going to the Andy Stanley “church”)
Good. I’m pretty sure that Newsom will be the Dem candidate (unless Obama is too jealous of him and they opt for another easy to program idiot). Trump doesn’t have the courage or the knowledge to debate anybody, even in his own party.
I think DeSantis, who is undramatic but has the facts and a plan, is probably the only one who can do this.
going hot:
Could work both ways. More people actually seeing the slime bag for what he is, not what the rats portray him as.
This will be an important showing for Newsom, and he will be as world-class prepared as Obama was when he debuted in front of a national political audience. Newsom no doubt plans to knock RDS out and demonstrate he is capable of debating Trump - a Dem twofer.
Deep State trying to elevate this matchup for 2024. Biden’s too old and they will promote DeSantis as their “anyone but Trump” alternative.
DeSantis will say sensible things but come off as whiney and nasal.
Newsom will say empty-headed platitudes but come off as smooth and dignified.
Also, Newsom will be taller and therefore win the debate hands down.
That was somewhat rhetorical on my part and I agree with you on that.
Yep
Where do you people get this?
In 2016 Trump broadsided an entire short bus full of lawyer professional politicians...One by one, the man who had never been elected to anything, blew them all off the stage.
It was historic and never seen before in American history.
Hello??
Might be more entertaining than the GOP light weights “debates” they have had so far. I will laugh to see Gov. Newsom creamed. Now the Tucker moderated round table debates—With Trump, Nikki, Ron and The Swami—that would be worth two hours of my time.
RDS won’t be the R candidate. Gruesome will be the R(INO)’s and D(eepstate)’s candidate.
First, he cannot get away from his support for an abortion ban after six weeks.
Second, a majority of Trump supporters despise DeSantis because he challenged Trump for the 2024 GOP nomination.
Maybe DeSantis can figure out some way to rehabilitate by 2028, but that will be really difficult.
Plausible. Newsome is their guy, and they can’t keep Harris around.
And Hannity once again shows what a shill he is
Coulda been the real deal, in ‘28.
Too bad he got in with the GOP crowd. I actually heard whatsisname, either Clay or Buck, talking about Ron and Tamrata as. potential GOP opposition to Trump team, with Krispie Kreme bringing up the rear as AG-apparent.
Not gonna use the word I’m thinking right now.
Silver lining is Hannity won’t give either of them a chance to talk.
LOL
