The Jewish couple had arrived for their Intro to Handguns lesson with Florida Firearms Training about noon. Peter, who asked to keep his last name private for safety reasons, had shot a rifle decades ago; his wife had never shot a gun before. By the end of the day they would be returning home with one.
So would Justine Youngleson, 58, and Sandi Lazar, 65, a South African Jewish couple from Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, and Jackie Rubin, 64, a former orthodox Jew who converted to Christianity, who wore a T-shirt with a giant heart on it and described herself as a “very peaceful person.”

If visiting south Florida, I highly recommend visiting Gulf Coast Clays in Naples. It’s a wonderful facility for shooting skeet or sporting clays. Last time I was there, I rented everything needed so I didn’t have to transport guns and worry about storage. The nice thing about shooting clays is that it answers the question, how can you shoot women and children? Easy, ya just don’t lead them so far.

Actually, what he hates is black people with guns, or at least people who look threatening to him with guns. I doubt very much that he hates cops having guns. I also suspect that he doesn’t hate his own gun, nor the guns of friends and family.
The thought that he has is that if guns would just ‘go away’, then the threats to him (real or imaginary) would go away with the guns.
Sorry Peter, it doesn’t work that way - first, the guns are NOT going away, nor will the people who threaten him.
If you want the threats to go away, you have to ACCEPT what NY City did under Rudy (and Bloomberg), which was to put the really bad guys IN JAIL and scare the other bad guys enough to stop carrying their guns and killing/robbing/raping people. NY City showed how to do it, but you guys CONTINUE to support people who won’t allow it.
That is insane that even after all she went through she still insisted ignorantly that it could not happen “here”.

Yes. If threatened by a mob, I would reach for my Winchester 1300, 12g, 8 shot pump first. Loaded with 00 buck, it would put out a devastating salvo.
Yes, the shot gun is an excellent cose quarters defense tool. I love shooting trap. I opne hot a clay one foot from the ground at 100 yards with a 10 gauge. Do not believe the lies, A 10 gauge with BB shot is incredibly faster tha a 12 at range.
I am tempted to load a few 10 gauge shells with 00 buck.
I have no doubt that a 10 up close would take a man right off his feet.

I came away with the distinct impression she was a devout socialist.
She thought giving the government more power would solve everything.
It was an eye opening moment for me.

I’m a member of a sporting clay facility here in SC. One station has throwers on top of a corn silo. It’s a very difficult shot. If I get 2 out of six, I’m doing good.
