Name the Eveready cat.
self ^

Posted on 10/17/2022 6:32:43 PM PDT by algore

I recently found a black cat with a little white patch hiding (and starving) in my laundry room.

It looks exactly like the Eveready 9lives cat.

I sent a request to Eveready to see what the name of the cat was.

I assume you live in an apartment complex, with a community laundry room? Or did you leave your doors open for an extended period of time?

You should probably name him Eveready.

Wow, Eveready is among the oldest trade names in America. It dates back to 1905.

Most of their batteries are made in China, but the company’s headquarters are in St. Louis.

A design triumph, as logos go.

Playful, memorable, clean, thoughtful, accessible, relevant, and pleasing to the eye.

Reminiscent of a time when boys became men and girls became women, when advertising executives thought not of the lowest common denominator but of the loftiness of a message, of communicating the worthiness of a product to a market that was worthy of great products, great engineering, and high hopes.

It doesn’t matter what you call it.
It still won’t come.
It’s a cat.

What a waste of a bunny rabbit.

I'm sure that cat has a bowl full of Friskies at home.
