I really tried to like this guy. He is just a hot mess. He refuses to use a filter for his mic so half his sentences sound like walrus farts. He is constantly pretending the 'lefties' are astounded at his brilliance (hot take, they're not) . He is dangerously naive about that. He is constantly shouting to the audience to 'kiss my ass.' His topics are usually old or cribbed from Tucker. His life experience is not as interesting as he thinks it is. The good news is his contract with Cumulus expires soon and will not be renewed. Lord how I miss Rush!
He's not the only one. I often yell at a host; "End your f'n question", after asking it 3 different ways.
They want to sound smart and love the sound of their own voices.
BTW, has anyone noticed how many if not most guests preface their answers with "So..." now?
Is it just me noticing or is it a trend.
You can play back videos at most streaming service sites like youtube and rumble at a reduced speed or an increased speed.
I usually play videos at 1.5x to 2.0x times speed to save time.
Before the election, other than Rush, I listened to Bill Bennett and Laura Ingraham and Michael Savage. Bill Bennett was very fair to Trump, which kind of surprised me. Laura I liked better on radio than TV, same with Hannity (though I never listed to him). Mark Levin I listened to sometimes. Now, barely listen or watch anyone. Since the election, I still get ticked off if they are trying to please their bosses, and I shut them off.
Paul Harvey: “He would like us to let you know his name...page two!” (Commercial break). Paul Harvey was great.
Andrew Wilkow and Mark Levin are awesome hosts.
Steve Gruber out of Michigan too.
Agreed. “Talk radio, for me, died with Rush!”
KGO San Francisco was shut down while broadcasting.
Conservative talk show hosts with KGO* had zero prior knowledge of that decision.
Some AM stations in California have switched to Spanish only 24/7 in the recent years.
KGO host talks about Bay Area radio station’s abrupt signoffhttps://www.sfgate.com › bayarea › article › SF-KGO-
5 days ago — American broadcasting company Cumulus Media abruptly announced Thursday during a morning talk show that it’s ending the KGO (810 AM) ...
You can choose whatever you want, and listen to it whenever.
Podcasts are a superior platform.
Like streaming tv shows, versus the liberal garbage on cable tv.
I shut him off EARLY. He’s always doom and gloom. Even when things were tough, Rush was always a breath of fresh air for me. I miss him terribly. Now listen to Markely, VanCamp and Robbins on KVI 570, Seattle, in his time slot. I like them, they’re hilarious.
Precisely.
Yes, I miss Rush.
But I still listen loyally to my local stations. Only Hannity and Levin are national hosts now.
You must be in DC. I am in Baltimore. WCBM is it, but I listen to weekday WBAL because they are all basically conservative (Dan Joseph questionable, but I guess he’s a RINO).
Same here. 2 hours in the morning, 2 in the afternoon.
Then don’t listen. Why did you feel the need to tell everyone else?
I’m listening to Rush from the day after Obama’s election. He is discussing voter fraud and pointing out Prop 8 - the anti-gay marriage proposition in California - won. (Note: On June 26, 2013, the US Supreme Court voted 5-4 to overturn Prop 8, with Chief Justice Roberts joining the open liberals to overturn it).
Odd how a show done 14 years ago can seem so current!
Doesn’t your radio have a dial?
They should Rotate.
Mark Steyn Monday.
Bongino Tuesday.
who else?
I think Bongino does just fine. Quit looking for something that isn’t coming back.
Rush in the day was pretty good, but at times he was boring and dull, and out of touch. He also was a Never Trumper at the beginning , he was pushing Ted Cruz.
So Rush like Levin came to the party late but acted liked they had been there all along.
But, but, but, in case you’ve forgotten, Hannity was the MC of Newt’s congressional take-over party in Atlanta in ‘92. He was there !
I’m confident you will love Sean again remembering that glorious night in Atlanta. He rarely speaks of it—more than once an hour for 30 f’kn ! years !!!
In a previous life, I was tasked with commerical script writing for Paul Harvey and visited he and Angel at their Phoenix home. I listened religiously and attempted to write the ad like Paul would speak. No go. His version made it to air. I was not offended.
I work in silence for the three hours Rush used to be on. Or I'll have some music playing very low in the background.
I believe Root has a show on RAV on Saturday at NOON EST; right after War Room. Worth a listen.
Tucker just makes me laugh when snickers and calls the RATs morons and fascists. Gutfield too.
