I really tried to like this guy. He is just a hot mess. He refuses to use a filter for his mic so half his sentences sound like walrus farts. He is constantly pretending the 'lefties' are astounded at his brilliance (hot take, they're not) . He is dangerously naive about that. He is constantly shouting to the audience to 'kiss my ass.' His topics are usually old or cribbed from Tucker. His life experience is not as interesting as he thinks it is. The good news is his contract with Cumulus expires soon and will not be renewed. Lord how I miss Rush!
How many times did Rush say to callers “don’t try this at home” ?
Sometimes I think we’d be better off if Ted Cruz did a show, even one hour a day.
He’s trying to be a blend of Tucker and Sean. Trying hard. It comes across as try-hard.
Agreed. Talk radio, for me, died with Rush
i could never listen to bongino either. but then I can’t listen hannity either. In fact, the only talking head I can listen to is what’s his name tucker carleson. but then only in small bits.
his guests can be interesting for a time too.
I rarely listen, but I did hear him compared Liz Truss to Thatcher. Someone must have handed him that talking point. Yes, I miss Rush badly. He was brilliant and entertaining. AM talk radio is dead again.
Dan might be just “okay” in his own right (I’ve heard much worse on conservative talk radio,) but you’re right, he is a very poor replacement for Rush.
For me radio is pretty much dead. I listen to podcasts while driving. I can remember the last time I listened to radio but it’s been years.
Sadly, Rush is gone and he’s not coming back. I’m fine with Bongino; but my favorite host is Chris Plante.
However, I find that his aggregation site is among the best. It's not just a rightwing political echo chamber. He has links to article on a great variety of topics.
Other sites could learn a lesson or two from him.

Me too........I listen to Walton and Johnson when I’m in the car for comedy relief but some days it’s hard knowing we’ll never hear Rush again:(
You can choose whatever you want, and listen to it whenever.
Podcasts are a superior platform.
Bongino tries too hard to be funny. He just plain isn’t. No timing
I never make an effort to listen to Bongino, the one I can’t stand to listen to is Sean Hannity.
He often has guests and it’s the same with each one, his questions are setups, by the time he allows the guest to answer he’s talked for 5 of the 7 minutes the guest will be on, if he would just ask the question, shut up and let the guest answer he might be okay but otherwise he’s unlistenable to me.
Love Bongino in the Rush spot....no one can replace a legend !! BonginoReport is a must check daily for me. He has insight to the swamp creatures like no other broadcaster.
Could not agree more about Bongino. No doubt a nice guy, I assume so. But man, he’s frothing at the mouth constantly. Near-shouting at the audience, hysteria-like. Such a turn off.
And oh do I miss Rush, too. Was talking about him the other day and how heartbroken I was over his passing. I truly felt like I had lost a good friend, and I remember mourning for the next week or so when he passed away.
So missed and never forgotten.
I really like Chris Plante. Like Hannity (who I no-longer listen to), he falls into repetition, but at least he is really funny. I’m also of the right generation to ‘get’ all his musical references...
Have you listened to the Bannon podcast War Room, Charlie Kirk is excellent also!!
