Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov emphasized on Friday at a conference that it is not in Moscow's interest to have an open conflict with the United States or the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Ryabkov expressed concerns over Russia's current relations with the two, stating that they are "near-zero levels." He shared that "America is incapable of negotiating in principle and, together with a number of NATO capitals, is directly pushing Kiev to transfer military operations to our territory, intending to fight to the last Ukrainian" so as to impose "a strategic defeat" on Russia.
He further underscored that Moscow is not threatening anyone with nuclear attacks, but is rather warning of risks of interfearance in its military operation in Ukraine. "The US deliberately lowers the nuclear threshold, creating a threat to the national security of Russia," Ryabkov stated.
The US and NATO very much want open conflict with Russia.
Talking peace is meaningless when you are invading another country.
They’re halfway back to where they were last April.
Already have it directly and indirectly.
Why has NATO Expansion has increased since the fall of the Soviet Union?
WION
Gravitas Plus: Did NATO Push Ukraine Into War?
“...Palki Sharma tells you how western arrogance and NATO expansionism are also to blame, how their actions precipitated the crisis in Ukraine”
Gee, I have so much confidence at all levels of our leadership I probably don’t need to pray for the innocents any more... /s
Are you ready to back your words by sharing wealth with people of Iraq and Afghanistan?
Seems like both sides are looking for conflict with one another.
We’ve pretty much done that for decades.
*Gee, I have so much confidence at all levels of our leadership*
Bob Dole was right.
Not True. We just want Russia to stay inside it's own borders and quit trying to annex other countries.
Because The Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia are tired of getting taken over by dictatorships ?
Your question answers itself. Because all the countries formerly under russia’s boot were desperate to be admitted into NATO precisely to have some defense against future russian imperial ambitions. Precisely those mperial ambitions that have ravaged Georgia and now Ukraine.
Consider the events of 2014.
Thankyou.
Because many countries in Eastern Europe wanted to join NATO.
Maybe it’s a wild conspiracy, but how did we go from Obama telling Romney the 1980s are calling and want their foreign policy back over Russia, to potentially wanting open conflict with Russia ??
What changed during that time, I suggest it could be, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA and the hoax cooked up by Hillary Clinton over losing the 2016 election.
Is it possible career foreign policy people in Washington who are mostly Democrats now want open war with Russia over the hoax that Putin and Trump conspired to cheat Hillary out of the Presidency ??
It’s not just Democrats, nearly every Republican in Washington is pushing for war with Russia as well, it makes no sense.
I know Russia invaded Ukraine, but they also invaded Afghanistan and I don’t remember anyone back then pushing for war with Russia.
It’s not meaningless when you are invading a country to protect people who have been severely persecuted by a US/Soros installed coup government that overthrew the last democratically elected government of ALL Ukraine.
Unfortunately, they have been taken over by the EUSSR/NATO GloboHomo dictatorship.
