WVUfan222:
Levin: the birther tactic is crap, here's relevant statute:
---------------------------------------
8 U.S. Code § 1401 - Nationals and citizens of United States at birth....
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1401
RDMercEER:
It didn't matter where Obama was born, it doesn't matter where Ted Cruz was born, it didn't matter where John McCain was born, it didn't matter where George Romney was born. The phrase “natural born Citizen” has a specific meaning: namely, someone who was a U.S. citizen at birth with no need to go through a naturalization proceeding at some later time. If one of your parents was a US citizen, which is the case in all four examples, you are a natural born US citizen.
This has been Levin's contention all along. Dishonest leftists, such was Pruto and whoisyourdaddy may want to do a little research, before spouting our their Alinskyite lies. Can either of you provide a link where Mark Levin said Obama couldn't be President because he wasn't a natural born US citizen?
I still don't think Obama was born in Hawaii, but it is a moot point, because at least one parent was a US citizen (and with the possibility of Frank Marshall Davis being his real dad, perhaps both). By birth status, he has every right to be the president.

No, I can not make a counter-argument because you did not make a cogent argument. You simply quoted language that backs up what I said, that there is more than one path to being an NBC. That is the whole point of WKA - that the 14th amendment was simply making something even “better” than a statute or common law by sticking it into the US Const. That “somethng” was natural born citizenship.
If you were NOT delusional, then you would see that, and you would attempt to understand each of the 7 or 8 sub-conclusions that the WKA court reached on its way to determining that WKA was a citizen was based on the analysis of “Natural Born Subjects and Natural Born Citizens” to wit that WKA was born in the US of parents lawfully domiciled here.
But again, the Gold Fringe is in your eyes, and no one can brush it away but you. The law and the facts are there, but you continue to make your very own special license tag with the 64 Count box of crayons you bought.
You are arguing that a SCOTUS case that says the exact opposite of your belief system somehow magically thru an incantation of Delusium Majoris supports your delusional belief.
But I didn't see anything like that. If I understand English correctly, that statement in Wong Kim Ark says that Cruz cannot be a natural born citizen.
Here it is again. Perhaps you misread it the first time you saw it?
"Every person born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, becomes at once a citizen of the United States, and needs no naturalization. A person born out of the jurisdiction of the United States can only become a citizen by being naturalized, either by treaty, as in the case of the annexation of foreign territory, or by authority of congress, exercised either by declaring certain classes of persons to be citizens, as in the enactments conferring citizenship upon foreign-born children of citizens, or by n abling foreigners individually to become citizens by proceedings in the judicial tribunals, as in the ordinary provisions of the naturalization acts."
Wong Kim Ark, paragraph 113.
When did Ted’s mother file a Consular Report of Birth Abroad?
It’s required to claim US citizenship.
He has a file, we need to see it.
Yes. Either he is a US resident, OR he defrauded the scholarship. Can’t be both.
enter marry WOW!
It’s required to claim US citizenship.
He has a file, we need to see it.
IIRC, she did not. I believe that she did for an older child (deceased) with another husband, in England, so she knew to do it, but she did not do it for Ted. I believe he had to do some legal work as a teenager, after they had moved to Texas, in order to go on a class/school trip outside of the country.
Why would I argue anything about the wording, or the part that you have bolded??? It is simply a statement of fact. Citizenship has been bestowed by statute for about 500 years or so, IIRC. Probably earlier than that in Rome or Greece if I had to guess. Nobody finds that notion mysterious or strange except Birthers, because they have Gold Fringe on the brain. And, Birthers’ pseudo-legal theories are a figment of their imagination, just like Sovereign Citizens’ ridiculous theories. I truly wish that there was a way to help you, but I think because most Birthers are not mentally-incompetent in the way that will get them committed to involuntary psychiatric help. But maybe you can help me.
You said that the “gold fringe” thing was silly. But suppose that you had a friend who believed it with all his heart. He constantly came out with freakish interpretations of ordinary laws, and was driven to the brink of babbling over the 14h Amendment and how admiralty law controlled things. How would you go about helping that friend? Let’s assume that you have already destroyed the legal basis for his belief system, but he just. doesn’t. get. it. How would you go about helping him. He has a trial coming up for no driver’s license, no insurance, and a crayon license tag. He could lose his car, and go to jail for a year. What would try on him???
That is my recollection as well.
He did not get a US passport until he was a teen and needed one for a class trip.
He was still a Canadian citizen until 2014.
There is no way that the founders would have considered him a natural born citizen.
Bkmk
You cant use that Kenya bio nonsense.
👍👍👍👍👍
“And yet here you are, posting comments on a thread that has “birther” in the title!”

Noting the bizarre nature of the interest. Would be the same if people were going on about who was neglected in the 2007 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Inductions. Just a curious thing to hang on to.
different but pertinent case:
....Assuming that his father was a citizen at the time of Madar’s birth, the
Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 controls Madar’s citizenship status. That law
provided that several categories of individuals “shall be nationals and citizens of the United
States at birth,” including:
a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its
outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or
periods totaling not less than ten years, at least five of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years: Provided, That any periods of honorable
service in the Armed Forces of the United States by such citizen parent may
be included in computing the physical presence requirements of this paragra
obamas mother did not have 5 years physical presence in the usa after age 14, obama was hatched when mama was 18
Why yes it is, but does it mean the same thing in your world that it means in mine? I would think the English is clear, but I am still wary of you understanding it's meaning to be the same thing I understand it's meaning to be.
If you do think it means the same thing as I, then it would seem we have nothing to argue about, yet you still seem to be arguing with me. Something about "gold fringe", which I haven't the foggiest as to how it applies to me.
Because “your world” is attempting to define a legal term (NBC) with little regard to facts, history or law. “Your world” is scrounging libraries for forgotten texts, while the legal term has been pretty thoroughly defined by a SCOTUS decision. It ain’t like it is hidden or anything. Like the Gold Fringe Folks, “your world” has invented its own imaginary laws, and then huddled together in a mass to perpetuate the fantasy.
I do not argue with you about the law, because the law is not the source of your belief system anymore than Admiralty law is the basis of the Gold Fringe on the Flag people. What interests me is the psychology of “your world”, and how you maintain group adhesion without a central source for your “church”.
That is why I asked for your help. I think that you would have a unique perspective on helping a Sovereign Citizen overcome his delusions. That is a lot more interesting to me than trying to follow you around a Birther Warren of Weirdness.
If his birth certificate is fake (which most sane people agree), how do you know who his parents are? Which begs the obvious question: how do you know he’s eligible?
How does anyone know who his mother is, other than the person everyone keeps telling us she is. There’s no proof without any valid documentation.
