I yave my suspcions about this, and without making any accusations, I would be interested to know what time the attack occurred and what the temperature was. Alligators lose their appetite when the temperature drops down to 80 degrees and they stop feeding completely when it drops down to 73 degrees.

The woman ran to help her husband. Once the attack was over, she pulled him out of the water and ran inside to get first aid supplies. When she realized the severity of his injuries, she got into her boat and went to higher ground, approximately a mile away.
- Could be just as reported which of course is horrible or ...
- Her story explains the hubbie's blood all over her and the house
- Her trip for help explains the "guess the gator came back" possibility to explain the missing body
- LEOs should check his life insurance policies and beneficiar(y)(ies) and any domestic abuse calls for the parties ...
