I yave my suspcions about this, and without making any accusations, I would be interested to know what time the attack occurred and what the temperature was. Alligators lose their appetite when the temperature drops down to 80 degrees and they stop feeding completely when it drops down to 73 degrees.

It was around 82 degrees at the time of the attack in Slidell on Monday. The low that morning was around 72, then it got warmer towards the early afternoon.
