Don’t know the real story, but the official story was quite suspect from what I’ve read.
Maybe a archived broadcast from that night.
What would be the motive for quashing the Navy narrative? We were in the midst of grave threats to air travel, five of which were attempted, four of which were successful (or did the hapless shoe bomber follow TWA800?). All I can think of is the national embarassment that would be evident if the Navy narrative were proven true.
Spontaneous combustion in the center fuel tank.
Didn’t take the other aircraft out of service or replace the center fuel tanks.
Only happened once, like a miracle!
Not to mention it happening on Bill Clinton’s watch.
Obviously it must have been a stealth missile fired from a stealth sub with a complicit crew. All written by people with no knowledge of how the USN conducts range clearing for live fire exercises, and no clue where those ranges are.
I wondered about that. Wasn’t it GWB at the time?
I used to work at Boeing Experimental flight test. We did quite a bit of investigations on that”accident”.
I was privy to internal meetings and helped in the studies.
The aircraft was not at fault in any way.
The way people died was consistent with a missile
explosion. That is determined by how their necks were broken. For some reason Boeing “ate” it and took the blame for a perfectly good aircraft design being questioned.
Let me see, it was a Democrat president at the time.
For some reason, they wanted to hide from the public that the aircraft was shot down. By whom I have no idea.
That is all.
It was a muzzle but it could have been Iranian as revenge. Something made Clinton censor this.
The Clintons were co-Presidentes in 1996.
What I recall is my disgust when the politicians queued up within a very short period for a photo op memorial while bodies were still being recovered. But then Bill was good at doing that.
I don’t believe our government on any major story.
